An announcement from the RTVN

 

FSR Rontvia's BJSCXIII entrant has been controversially changed as Pixie was universally slated by the Rontvian public. One member of the public said 'it's far too soon for Pixie to come back, we love her but she should wait at least another two contests and give somebody else a chance'. She has been replaced with former Ash singer Charlotte Hatherley with her single bast*rdo, the live action comic book video of which features Simon Pegg, David Walliams and Lauren Laverne. A spokesman for RTVN said 'it's quite a change in direction for Rontvia to go with an indie track, the closest we have come before was with Andreas Johnson ten contests ago...maybe the 3rd in every ten is a charm!'. bast*rdo was a No.1 hit in FSR Rontvia selling well over a million copies on CD/DVD single alone, with the download also doing very well. The song had been tipped to represent the country once before in BJSCV before being switched at the last minute in favour of Sibel's Make Believe, which came 8th in that contest. Charlotte is said to be incredibly happy to finally get the chance to represent Rontvia in the BJSC.

FSR Rontvia make xmas day announcement regarding BJSCXIII

 

Amid accusations from the Rontvian public of sending Charlotte Hatherley to fit in with the widening indie crowd on BJSC, FSR Rontvia have once again done a u-turn on their entry and have firmly made a choice on what to send to BJSCXIII. FSR Rontvia's 13th entry will be M.A.G.I.C. by rising Swedish male duo The Sound Of Arrows. The duo, who have been tipped for big things by online music bible Popjustice have a sound that is like crossing Kleerup with Justice. Although not as BJSC-friendly perhaps as some of Rontvia's poppier former entries, it represents the quickly changing music tastes of a nation who have recently seen Killers and Kings Of Leon songs in their top ten for the first time ever. The RTVN assured the public that this would be the final change, and that The Sound Of Arrows are signed and ready for XIII in Kopecka. Charlotte Hatherley and Pixie were supportive of the decision, understanding that Rontvia is keen to have success with a male act, and hope to be able to represent the country at some point in the not too distant future.
