FSR Rontvia announces plans for BJSCXIX

 

Five contenders are lining up in this month's new Rontvian show to decide the nation's entry for BJSCXIX, 'We can do more than just love songs you know...'...here is a bit about the songs/artists taking part;

Salem - Astronaut - Swedish/Syrian male singer's distinctive vocal style is sure to get him noticed with this charming ballad

 

Sally Shapiro - Love In July - Surprisingly not used in the BJSC yet, this is Italo-disco inspired Swede Sally Shapiro's new single

 

Skatan - Shine - A flame haired (read ginger :kink:) female singer from Sweden with a disctinctive rich soul voice presents a beautiful song

 

Ich Troje - We Play In Team - Polish megastars and former twice Polish Eurovision entrants are here with an insanely catchy, albeit super cheesy pop/dance song

 

Dacia - Muistot - and for something completely different, a Finnish language trance song!

 

A wildcard element to this competition is granted to any song deemed good enough to be FSR Rontvia's entry, should a more worthy contender emerge in the next two weeks

in each round, votes so far will be revealed and the songs with the lowest number of votes (as voted for by 5,394,582 Rontvian's) will be eliminated

Song Y - 25% of the votes so far

 

Song V was Ich Troje's We Play In Team polled 2% of the votes and has been eliminated...

 

Song Z was Astronaut by Salem which polled 7% of the votes and has been eliminated...

 

in round 2, another song will be eliminated and a wildcard, chosen by a professional jury, may be added to proceedings

having gone from Swedish pop to American electro, meeting Icelandic indie and British rap along the way in the last few contest alone, FSR Rontvia have now decided that their 19th entry to the BJSC will be some Finnish dance, in Finnish language no less, once again proving that we are not playing to win, we're playing for fun!

 

Dacia - Muistot, which won the first round of Rontvian voting with 37% of the votes, is Rontvia's highly likely entry after it was deemed that Sally Shapiro was too subtle for Rontvia, and Skatan may be saved for a future contest after finishing second with Shine...

 

it also features Rontvia's first key change since Jungle Drum :funky:

 

I never know what to expect nowadays. :P It's certainly interesting, not sure if I like it but definitely better than Example. Strong beat though I'm not sure about the Finnish vocals.
