BJSC8 + 9 News

Gabriella Cilmi has been selected to perform for Ashton in the next Buzzjack Song Contest with "Got No Place To Go" after she was withdrawn from the 7th contest with tuberculosis. ASC officials say she has made a good recovery and will be fully healthy by the next contest.

The Dictator of Ashton today reviled that Mutya Buena was in contention for the spot in the 9th edition of the contest. The song she is expected to perform if she is selected for the second time is the utterly sublime "Fast Car". Kat DeLuna and the Ting Tings have both been rumoured to be in contention for this place

Colour Ashton Dirty

Red Blooded Women last night finished their whirlwind tour of Ashton ahead of the final results in Quotosibb.

With Rapidly falling odds from foreign bookmakers and the announcement that Ashton was Gooddelta's Coveted 'Black Horse' has left the London trio optimistic and the Ashtonese public are hopeful of a third top 5 finish.

Red Blooded Women's Promotional Tour of Buzzjack was cancelled after scheduling conflicts were discovered once they had been confirmed just days before the contest.

The Ashtonise Government wishes to inform the Continent Of Buzzjack where Kingdom Of Shadow found their entry for the 8th BJSC.

Here, in a post dated June 20th.

Brunoboi, didn't your parents teach you not to steal?

I can absolutey promise you - hand on my heart - that I did not know of your intentions to enter Mutya into BJSC 9. I bought her album a couple of weeks after it was released and would say it was one of (if not my absolute) favorite albums of last year which is why I have decided to enter a song from it this time round. I'm really sorry if it looks different but I sware that it is not the case that I stole from Ashton.

90's Cheese for Ashton?

After K.O.S shocking artist theft earlier this month the ASC have been searching for a suitable artist to represent them in BJSC IX. Our sources tell us that 90's Cheese act B*Witched have been approached and they are currently in talks with their management.

Our sources also tell us that Cheese Queen Lolly is also in contention for the spot. When asked about this Lolly replied "Oh Mickey what a pity you don't understand you take me by the heart when you take my the hand." Our code cyphers are currently working out if that is a denial or a confirmation. Lolly was a smash hit in Ashton during the '99 recession having 4 #1's before she quit to pursue a TV career in the UK.

It is thought if selected that B*Witched would perform Blame It On The Weatherman (The biggest selling single of '99) and Lolly would perform Mickey.

Gabriella Delighted At 7th

Gabriella Cilmi is reportedly delighted at her 7th place finish in Rontiva and is celebrating in style by going on a two week holiday to the exclusive Torevale resort on the warm west coast. Members of the ASC were also celebrating their first time at breaking the 100 point barrier and breaking into the 'Big 5'.

The dictator declared the day a national holiday and encouraged Ashtonise nationals to celebrate becoming a 'Big 5' member and the influence that it brings.
