November 28, 200717 yr Someone told me on MSN that Same Difference were doing Robbie Williams- Angels. :o Oh please god NO. :puke2: I'd like Ryhdian to do Angels or 'Feel' though. Or Rock Dj  Now that would be funny. :P
November 28, 200717 yr Hope are apparently doing Spice Girls - 2 Become 1 & Queen's We Will Rock You. Unless they are truly awful (which is possible ), those two great songs should guarantee them a last 4 place.
November 28, 200717 yr Author Hope are apparently doing Spice Girls - 2 Become 1 & Queen's We Will Rock You. Unless they are truly awful (which is possible ), those two great songs should guarantee them a last 4 place. Hope doing the Spice's comes as no surprise, but doing Queen? Only a few people can pull it off, and Hope arn't those few people!
November 29, 200717 yr This weeks songs HOPE WE WILL ROCK YOU HOPE 2 BECOME 1 LEON THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD LEON CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE NIKI TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART NIKI FIELDS OF GOLD RHYDIAN SOMEBODY TO LOVE RHYDIAN I VOW TO THEE MY COUNTRY/WORLD IN UNION SAME DIFFERENCE WAKE ME UP BEFORE YOU GO GO SAME DIFFERENCE ANY DREAM WILL DO
November 29, 200717 yr Hope has the best songs :D:D I agree, that doesn't mean they will have the best performances. A few of the songs are a bit before my time, I think one of the problems is that they give them songs to sing from the 70s and 80s and then say to them "You have no place in todays market, if this was X years ago, you'd be massive". Why make them sing these "dated" songs in the first place? They should make the songs modeled around what actually sells today. There's little point in having a Disco week as it's likely that they'll never have to sing a Disco song again. There are probably more good, recent British artists out there. Robbie Williams, Take That, Amy Winehouse and Sugababes stand out right away to me. They've sort of done the only suitable Amy Winehouse songs I suppose. "Tears Dry On Their Own" has a "bad word" in it and "Rehab" doesn't really send out the best message. Hope could have done "Too Lost In You" by the Sugababes because there are two Queen songs already, which looks like we are scraping the barrel to find 10 good British songs. I think they would have done alright with it. I think Same Difference could replace "Any Dream Will Do" with something like "Deeper Shade of Blue" by Steps. Overall, this week seems a bit old fashioned to me. Were any of them released this side of the millennium? :P
November 29, 200717 yr Is it a Queen special and, if so, why aren't Niki or Same Difference doing one?
November 29, 200717 yr Hope have got the best tracks this week, I fear Same Difference or Leon will go this week Niki is safe for the final, I predict one act from each category will be in the final
November 29, 200717 yr Same Difference have got a pretty $h!t song although Wake Me Up Before You Go Go will suit them i bet.......love Niki's choices hopefully she can pull them off
November 29, 200717 yr Hope could have done "Too Lost In You" by the Sugababes if they even considered ruining one of their greatest songs, or any sugababes song i would hunt them down and painfully torture them 1 by 1 until agree never ever 2 ruin a good song again
November 29, 200717 yr Author This weeks songs HOPE WE WILL ROCK YOU HOPE 2 BECOME 1 LEON THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD LEON CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE NIKI TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART NIKI FIELDS OF GOLD RHYDIAN SOMEBODY TO LOVE RHYDIAN I VOW TO THEE MY COUNTRY/WORLD IN UNION SAME DIFFERENCE WAKE ME UP BEFORE YOU GO GO SAME DIFFERENCE ANY DREAM WILL DO Hope : We Will Rock You - They need to make it dirty and gritty without going burlesque, not many people can pull off Freddy Mercury, so I reckon Hope could struggle. Hope : 2 Become 1 - It will be a breaze, as long as they harmonize well and share the vocals. Leon : I dont actually know his songs apart from Crazy Little Thing Called Love. I hope he's awful tonight. Nikki : Total Eclispe Of The Heart - A strong power ballad. As long as she dosn't try and sing bigger then what she can reach, then she should do ok. Niki : Fields Of Gold - I ADORE this song (loooong story). Eva Cassidy has a unique and distinctive sound to her and her music, Niki will have to be carefull. Rhydian : Somebody To Love - I can already tell this will be great. Dont know the other song, but I reckon it's to do with Football/Rugby? Same Difference : Wake Me Up, Before You Go Go - Baaahhhh. Same Difference does.... WHAM! :w00t: Cheesy and camp. Poo. Same Difference : Any Dream Will Do - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I BEG, NO CHILDRENS CHOIR. Euggggh. I swear, If they get a childrens choir on stage. <_< It's so obvious what Simon is doing here. He wants Hope to win, so he's chosen 2 Songs that can be sung whilst sharing lead vocals (Yes Queen had Freddie, BUT it can be shared). He's playing it good with Hope. And now Simon dosn't want anything to do with Same Difference, so he's given them the worst and most irritating song EVER, Wham! and then a musical song from the WORST musical ever, Joseph. Says it all.
November 29, 200717 yr Hope have two brilliant song choices this week (They are surely bound to do the Coke advert arrangement of We Will Rock You performed by Britney, Pink & Beyonce; whilst 2 Become 1 should be easy for them to sing, even the Spice Girls can sing it convincingly live), whilst Same Difference are given two absolutely dire song choices. Funny how their manager is Simon Cowell, yet one of his acts has two brilliant songs to sing & the other act has two dreadful songs to sing. No doubt Same Difference will be positioned to sing so they are on at the same time as three million more viewers watching SCD (The most popular Saturday Night talent show - probably because it is not such an insult to the average viewers intelligence ) before Robin Hood comes on, and those viewers frantically grab their remotes to catch the tail end of XF to see Hope perform. Looking at the song choices I fully expect Leon & Same Difference to be in the bottom two with Same Difference being eliminated with the lowest number of votes. Anybody, who after the last 3 months, still can't see the blatant manipulation in favour of Hope really does need their brain testing.
November 29, 200717 yr What sh*te songs! Is that all they can come up with for the 'best of British'. The only decent song there is a bloody hymn! Oh well SCD for me this weekend - I'd started to enjoy the X Factor recently too but not even Rhydian could make me watch it this week. Norma
November 29, 200717 yr Hope will breeze through this week, they've the best song choices by far. I don't know why, but I envisioned Rhydian singing something by Oasis for this week. :\
