I think it's excellent and hope they hold out until Monday. No Itunes chart and no mids = the most exciting chart of the year!

or the most boring as there are no new releases...I do wonder how Mika will do though as his single has leaked early into HMV stores

It was the same last Christmas iirc, im sure last year itunes went on a week break and didn't update from around 24th Dec-2nd Jan, but i might have just made that up

The only new entries I'm expecting in this week's top 40 are probably Booty Luv with a possibility Mika, and the reminder of the chart will be very static, I'm assuming some old tracks will climb back up cough cough Umbrella, and the xmas tracks that have no physical release which is practically all of them with the exception of the Pogues will fall like a brick.

That's my assessment, maybe it be a good idea for members to predict the top 10 for Sunday in a separate thread.

According to Polyhex  But why would Hoosiers be top 10 again :o

1. When You Believe - Leon Jackson

2. Apologize - Timbaland

3. Crank That (Soulja Boy) - Soulja Boy Tell 'Em

4. Call the Shots - Girls Aloud

5. Bleeding Love - Leona Lewis

6. Rule the World (Radio Edit) - Take That

7. Goodbye Mr A - The Hoosiers

8. Fairytale of New York - The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl

9. Valerie - Mark Ronson

10. No One - Alicia Keys

I do kind of feel a bit lost without midweeks and no iTunes chart! But like RFC said at least the chart on Sunday could have a few surprises.
