May 19, 200619 yr System Of A Down are nothing more than noise. Their goal is to make as much noice as possible and sing as unbelivably $h!te as possible.
May 19, 200619 yr Oasis have influenced most of the bands. arctic monkeys, coldplay, kasabian, dirty pretty things etc all said oasis are the main influence but every1 will say oasis for the 1990s along with nirvana and blur (there probably others that i dont know about)

May 20, 200619 yr i agree but all these bands coming out today always say that Oasis have been the main influence. Well, if we're gonna play that game mate, then Oasis are just copying The Beatles and Slade. How far back you wanna go.....?
May 20, 200619 yr Well, if we're gonna play that game mate, then Oasis are just copying The Beatles and Slade. How far back you wanna go.....? Not playing a game really. He's right, most bands today do cite Oasis as an influence, but that's because they grew up listening to them. Same reason why so many bands in the 90s would go on about the Smiths and Specials. By 2020 bands will say they're influenced by Arctic Monkeys and then some bright spark will say...ok then, Sex Pistols, The Stooges, The Sonics...how far do you wanna go....? But yeah...I think this proves that there aren't really any influential bands around just now...not in indie anyway.

May 21, 200619 yr El Presidente!!! No seriously, i know evrone hates them on here. but ive liked them since december 2004. When i was laying down, in the frontroom. i was flicking through the music channels as it were, when i came to q. Something grabbed my eye, It was Colourfull, it was catchy, it was Rocket. The Whole apeal of it changed the way i saw music, Dante With his mastouche and red suit, A woman drummer, a dreadlocked bassist. It was so catchy, the song: "Im Gonna Block It, Fly Like A Rocket" So on January 31st, i brought Rocket. It Was released on Limited (1000 Only) Red 10" Vinyl. The B-Side was Rocket Beef Music Mix. Then In May 100 mph was released and the rest is history, but thats my story of how i came to like El Presidente.... May 21, 200619 yr did you watch the videos i took the time to post up?? Did anyone ask you to put them up? Honestly...I don't see why you have to twist every topic around so you can mention El Presidente. Maybe you should request an El-P forum?
May 22, 200619 yr Did anyone ask you to put them up? There's no need to be like that. You can't blame him for wanting people to know about his favourite band.

May 22, 200619 yr There's no need to be like that. You can't blame him for wanting people to know about his favourite band. I wasn't being nasty - it just wasn't the right place for them. I like a lot of bands too but I won't blindly go around posting stuff about them in every going thread.
