I think Lily's great tbh, it does wind me up how everyone seems to hate her because she has opinions. Her album is great.

Because they're not her opinions, it's her slagging off easy targets and people established artists who she thinks she's better than even though she's only been around for five minutes  Carl Barât for example

Who's fox? And yeah, he's right ^_^
The album is great though. I don't know why he singled out Lily Allen because I can think of countless others who are all hype - Corrine Bailey Rae for instance.

I'm in total agreement with him, I hope the tide starts to turn for her now.

She is an unbelievably talentless being, she can't sing a note and I've heard bits of the album, as he says, it all has very little substance to it.

She's got where she is now because of famous parents and slagging off every artist under the sun for publicity - let's see how she fares with her sophmore album.

Maybe because the likes of Corinne Bailey Rae, Nerina Pallot & Sandi Thom are accomplished live performers who had done 200, 150 & 300 plus gigs respectively before releasing a record so they were accomplished live performers, unlike Lily Allen who had managed just 2 5-song gigs before the release of her single "Smile" & Lily mimed on her debut performance on TOTP.

The best quote so far about Lily Allen came from Ricky Gervais on today's Jonathan Ross' show on Radio2. After Jonathan Ross played a track from the album, Ricky commented/joked "You only played a track from her album, because you're scared of her dad!"

Ive heard the album and while some tracks are good, the whole of the middle seems to be filler (6-10) I do think she's outspoken, and theres no way she should have been given 20K when she's only just released her album.

that said i'll probably end up buying it :(

She's good - not the most amazing thing in the world but not bad either.

DR Fox is a worthless $h!tard but he's right - which artists today will be still be going in ten years? Apart from Madonna, Robbie, Kylie etc that'll be going til they drop dead.

A Lil bit of a bitter pill

MIKE SKINNER’s latest hip-hop protegee has recorded a brilliant response to LILY ALLEN’s No1 single Smile.

Rapper EXAMPLE, signed to the STREETS legend’s record label, has posted a video of his track Vile on the internet.

The tongue-in-cheek comeback to Lily’s bitter break-up song, in which he responds as her boyfriend, has gone down a storm.

Radio 1’s ZANE LOWE has played it and CHRIS MOYLES performed his own version on air.

Example’s lyrics are hilarious. He accuses Lily of burning him with a spliff and also sings the chorus from her estranged dad KEITH ALLEN’s single Vindaloo.

I tracked down Example, real name Elliot, to his home in Fulham, South West London.

The rapper, recording his debut album, told me: “I think Lily has heard the track. I gave it to her producer to play to her.

“We just did it for a laugh. Hip-hop artists take life too seriously.â€

I think it's more random than actually funny.

Can they actually release this without her permission as it's her melody they're using?
