Posted December 13, 200717 yr What are people's general feelings about this track? I love Kylie to the bones, and I am fully aware this was her "home-coming" release, but I find it little more than a sickly, cheap naff sort of track you would expect to hear as you were entering the reception function of some tragic wedding you don't wanna be at! I can honestly say I cannot abide the track! For me personally, this stands as one of her worse singles. Anyone is (dis)agreement?
December 13, 200717 yr spinning around is an ok song i love spinning around for what it did for kylie's career but as a song i feel there were many many other kylie singles that deserved number 1 rather than it,i love the video though :yahoo:
December 13, 200717 yr It's my fave Kylie song :o The first one she released that I can remember her releasing, although I didn't start liking her until 2003/2004.
December 13, 200717 yr I do love it, although she has plenty of better songs. 'On A Night Like This' was infinitely better and deserved #1 more, but she looks amazing in the video.
December 14, 200717 yr When it first came out, I was crazy about it but these days when I listen to it, it seems to have lost it's appeal. I'm still crazy about On A Night Like This tho. But the one that I am absolutely love from the Light Years album is Your Disco Needs You! So kitsch & so disco I know, but so wickedly fun!
December 14, 200717 yr Author Oh god I absolutely DETESTE Your Disco Needs You! The 'Light Years' album does not seem to bare any appeal to me, I hated 'Kids' and 'Please Stay' was highly naff ('On A Night Like This' was OK, but I a bit too much like the stuff Cher did... BLEURGH!!!). Everything from 'In Your Eyes' onwards is generally ace though...
December 14, 200717 yr In one word "average". But it did what it was suppose to do for her career. I much prefer "On a night like this" and dont get me started on how much I hate "Your disco needs you" lol
December 15, 200717 yr i much prefer on a night like this to spinning around but i prefer tracks like under the influence and butterfly alot more than both
