It's because she needs to get her ass out there and start promoting right after the video is released. It has been a f***ing month and NO promo at all! I mean DAMN.

Yeah, sorry to bring up Lady GaGa again... but her single just came out yesterday and she's already doing a Grammys performance tomorrow. Also, she's performing and doing an interview on Jay Leno in a few days too.

Of course, I'm not trying to say that she's been slacking though. She's still working hard on the album (which kind of puzzles me as she's been working on it the last 2 years as well?). Also, Brit has a family and Lady GaGa obviously doesn't... lol.

She said she's going to do a lot of promo so I have faith! I'm sure it will start soon. And promo around the album release itself is what matters the most anyways. It's not so much about the single sales.

Hold It Against Me

{6}-8-17-

Why does it say Allysa?

She was #18 last week bbs, not #17.

hahaha gurrrl it's a long story.

So if my guesstimation is correct, HIAM has passed the 90k mark this week?

I would say pretty good for it's 4th week and still no video or promo.

So it should 100,000 by the end of this week. :dancing:

It would already surpass sales of 'My Prerogative', 'Do Somethin', 'Boys', 'I Love Rock N Roll', 'Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know' and obviously 'Radar'.

For anybody who didn't know (cos I didn't), there is 3 track Manon Dave remix EP available on UK iTunes.
I can't wait till my physical copy arrives; hope it has a nice sticker like the Korean version. :D

Weirdly, this now seems to have been removed from iTunes, maybe someone put it on too early.....

Brit is currently sitting at number 50 on the UK iTunes chart, but hopefully, with the video premiering and the remix EP released next week, the song should rise again.

UK Chart run:

Hold It Against Me - 6-8-18-26-35

I wonder if the video will help her surpass her peak position of HIAM.

Not unless she does some promotion for it...

This could be her worst selling debut from a studio album here in the UK, Slave sold 175,000+, if Brit doesn't come over here until the second single/album, then I'm not sure HIAM will surpass that.

According to the YTD thread in Charts, HIAM has sold 103,700 copies in the UK.

This weeks sales should see it surpass If U Seek Amy, and finally break into the top 20 biggest selling Britney songs.........underperformed like crazy though.

I liked the fact that IUSA was #20

Well, I guess for a third single off an album, If U Seek Amy is around about correct.......however Hold It Against Me, as the first single, should be much higher, in the top 10 even.
