Posted December 22, 200717 yr I thought it was only after WDYLN that Radio 1 gave her some love, but I found out an old playlist and it had Everything I Wanted on their A-list, which means All I Wanna Do was A Listed most likely, and Disremembrance probably got at least B Listed. Who would have thought?
December 22, 200717 yr I knew that All I Wanna Do got radio 1 support, wasn't sure about the others. That means 3 singles for definite got on to the A-list: Everything I Wanted, Who Do You Love Now?, and I Begin To Wonder...
December 22, 200717 yr Author I Begin To Wonder was B-listed. All I Wanna Do was most definitely A-listed
December 22, 200717 yr Oh, okay then. Still 3! From what I can gather then: All I Wanna Do: A List Everything I Wanted: A List Disrememberance: ? Who Do You Love Now?: A List Put The Needle On It: B List I Begin To Wonder: B List Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling: B List You Won't Forget About Me: B List They were decent support before they turned indie. -_- :(
December 22, 200717 yr with the exception of all i wanna do been played listed wasnt much of a help though
December 22, 200717 yr Are you kidding? All of the Neon Nights tracks benefitted immensely from being playlisted, hence why the second they stopped playlisting her - after You Won't Forget About Me - she stopped having hits!
December 22, 200717 yr Yeah I always thought it was odd that she got support durin the Girl and Neon Night's days et this never transitioned into album sales for her. She has had some impressive single sales back in the day but it never encouraged people to buy her albums. Just her singles. And I agree about airplay. Its very important. Fair enough her past few singles have not lived up to the quality of neon nights I think but it seems since radio gave up on her, everyone else has.
December 22, 200717 yr I honestly think So Under Pressure was every bit as credible and ground-breaking as anything off Neon Nights.
December 22, 200717 yr I always found her radio 1 supoort durin Girl and Neon Nights interesting. As although she had some good (brilliant at times!) single sales this never resulted in good album sales. People liked the singles but would not buy an album by her :/ I'm not sure if "Disremembrance" got played on radio 1. Its a crime if it didn't - the best song of her whole carreer closesly followed by "I Begin To Wonder" in my oppinion
December 22, 200717 yr I think she def deserved the backing of radio during the "girl" and the "neon nights" eras, but sadly not for the AATW material becuase in my opinion the material was not up to scratch exept for maybe "YWFAM". Radio can only really get behind the few tracks that are on the playlists. Everyone wants to be on these playlists so you have to have strong material which sadly she has not had recntly. I blame Perfection (oh and the $h!te label) who havnt got a clue how to market our Dannii.

I blame Perfection (oh and the $h!te label) who havnt got a clue how to market our Dannii. I agree. But not all with AATW has been grim. I think just a few bad single choices. Some of the "beyond" stuff was good. "Love Fight" should have been a single and been play listed. Although many suspect that was indeed recorded with London and Dannii's camp are just lieing when they say it was recorded with AATW. I cant remember the details but allot of facts point it towards being recorded with London. However "Touch Me Like That" very much should have been a single. I'm not making excuses for it flopping however, but it isn't exactly a december style single. Its a pure summer style dance anthem Edited December 23, 200717 yr by Ozmead
December 23, 200717 yr Totally agree with the new track. I love it. Prob her best single in a long time and deserved to do a lot better. But it def was released the wrong time of the year. They just rushed it out assuming it would do well because of her hightened profile with x-factor but noone even knew it was out and she didnt perform it anywhere. I still think its annoying that radio 1 premiered it yet didnt even playlist it lol.
