***THE TOP 20 SINGLES***

20. Cascada-Miracle

Top 10 Chart Run: 6-4-10-OUT-2-2-4-9

Info: Finishing the year with a top 20 end of year single for the second year running, this was the second of 3 Cascada singles to have graced the No.2 spot so far in my chart. The excellent (and original) Miracle was a 3rd UK top 10 hit for the UK/German trio and helped their album to mega success!

Top 10 Chart Run: 7-1-2-5-7-6-2-7

Info: American Disney teen duo, sisters Aly & AJ, released their first UK single and best yet in October. Potential Break Up Song is a commercial electropop masterpiece which lodged itself in my conscience for months!

18. Mason vs. Princess Superstar-Perfect Exceeder

Top 10 Chart Run: 7-3-4-5-2-3-3-1-1-2-2-3-6-7-10

Info: Finishing at No.32 in my top 40 of 2006, the brilliant electro collaboration between German producer Mason and US rapper Princess Superstar finished 14 places higher in my chart of 2007, reaching No.1 for the first time in January!

Love the last three especially Cascada

17. Dimitry Koldun-Work Your Magic

Top 10 Chart Run: 10-6-4-5-1-1-3-5-9

Info: A stunning Eurovision entry from Belarus this year. Sounding like a lost Bond theme, Dimitry Koldun's excellent Work Your Magic finished a respectable 6th and was No.1 for me in May!

16. Amy MacDonald-Barrowland Ballroom

Top 10 Chart Run: 9-2-2-2-3-4-5-8-10

Info: If you haven't heard this...download it...An absolutely amazing album track from Amy. It's her jaunty pop folk tribute to a music venue in Glasgow! It was a massive hit for me in the late summer

15. Mika-Grace Kelly

Top 10 Chart Run: 4-2-2-1-1-2-2-5-9

Info: The first BIG hit of 2007, Mika's Grace Kelly has been one of THE defining songs of the year...such a simple chord pattern but so darn catchy! Excellent stuff from a brilliant pop album

14. Nelly Furtado-Say It Right

Top 10 Chart Run: 10-7-3-2-2-4-3-6

Info: I have to admit that I ignored this gem throughout 2006 and it only entered my chart after videoplay/airplay when I realised that it was such a simple yet melodic and groundbreaking song from the amazing Ms Furtado!

13. Kate Nash-Foundations

Top 10 Chart Run: 2-1-3-OUT-8-OUT-4-6-6-8

Info: One of THE defining moments of the summer, Londoner Kate Nash's debut single Foundations stalled at an annoying No.2 for 5 weeks in the UK but the tongue in cheek ode to a broken relationship went all the way in my chart and had a volatile chart run as I kept going off it and then loving it again!

12. Leona Lewis-Bleeding Love

Top 10 Chart Run: 9-9-7-2-2-3-6-6-5-8-9

Info: A sensational second single that will certainly become the first second single by a reality show winner to ever outsell their debut single...the amazing ballad Bleeding Love written by Jesse McCartney and Ryan Tedder from One Republic really shows off Leona's voice and hung around my top 10 for ages...

11. Colbie Caillat-Realize

Top 10 Chart Run: 10-6-1-1-1-3-4-8

Info: Just missing out on the top 10 of the year by a whisker, Colbie's gorgeous ballad Realize is the highlight of the album Coco although it took me a while to 'realise' this...the song topped my chart on its 11th week in the top 50!

Albums

10. Delta Goodrem-Delta

http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u11/gooddelta/delta.jpg

Peak: #1 (4 weeks)

Best Tracks: Believe Again, In This Life, You Will Only Break My Heart, Possessionless

Info: Shockingly only making No.10, Delta's self titled third album is sadly nowhere near the quality of her first two with some tracks that I would have relegated to b-sides...sadly some of the actual b-sides (Fever, Fortune & Love, Take Me Home) are far superior to the tracks chosen for the album...having said that it is still a strong collection of pop tunes!

9. Timbaland-Timbaland Presents Shock Value

http://www.mtv.com/shared/promoimages/bands/t/timbaland/a_z/281x211.jpg

Peak: #1 (2 weeks)

Best Tracks: Scream, Apologize, Give It To Me, The Way I Are

Info: A hugely long but brilliant album from producer Timbaland, it has famously spawned 3 silver selling singles in the UK this year while Scream and Release would surely be massive too if they were released. A great collection featuring a stunning list of guest stars!

8. Robyn-Robyn

http://www.rodeomagazine.se/upload_guide/2/2007-04-12_robyn2.jpg

Peak: #2

Best Tracks: Handle Me, Be Mine!, With Every Heartbeat, Konichiwa Bitches

Info: Super Swede Robyn had a clutch of hits in the 1990's and made a stunning return to the UK in 2007 with a top 20 album and a No.1 single. This is an excellent collection of futuristic pop that takes a while to grow but once it clicks its really worth the wait! This woman is unique

7. Missy Higgins-On A Clear Night

http://www.apra.com.au/awards/music/gallery/2006/nominations/MissyHiggins.jpg

Peak: #1 (2 weeks)

Best Tracks: Peachy, Steer, Going North, Sugarcane

Info: A lovely second album from Australian singer Missy Higgins...the excellent 2005 debut The Sound Of White is amongst my favourite albums of all time and this is almost as good. Not really much of a progression musically or lyrically but there are a few stunning songs on this collection!

6. Natasha Bedingfield-N.B.

http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B000NJLPTS.02.MZZZZZZZ.jpg

Peak: #2

Best Tracks: Say It Again, Soulmate, Backyard, I Wanna Have Your Babies

Info: A widely criticised album, I actually really like this and think its a great pop collection if not quite to the standard of her debut Unwritten. She chose the singles in an odd order as there are some pop gems on this album. Even though it only peaked at No.2 it has been one of my more enduring albums spending 20 weeks in the top 10!

Thats 25/30 i like! I hadn't actually heard Colbie Caillat- Realize or any other of the album tracks of hers on there so i just gave it a quick listen (realise) from the video and it was pretty good and probably deserved #11

10. Serebro-Song #1

Top 10 Chart Run: 9-5-2-5-4-2-3-6-8-9

Info: Easily the best thing Russia have ever sent to Eurovision, female trio Serebro were formed especially for the occasion and this tacky electropop song came an impressive 3rd in the contest and was a massive No.2 hit for me in April/May!!!
