apparently as I haven't seen it yet so I'm not going to be great at describing them  but...

the scary circusmaster kind of guy is rumoured to be playing Davros in DW

<- Doctor Who spoiler before you highlight incase you want it secretive :P

Just watched Adrift, was a brilliant but sad episode

Poor Gwen, walking into the Conservatory, I almost fell out of my chair laughing

That was brilliant- A touch of comedy in a somewhat emotinal episode

Fragments look like its going to be good.

It'll be interesting to learn how Jack, Toshiko, Ianto and Owen were initiated into Torchwood. The big rumor is that apparently someone dies in the season finale Exit Wounds, personally I hope its Owen or Rhys (cause I just don't like them).

I've seen rumours flying about that

Jack, Tosh and Owen are due to be leaving Torchwood. It initially sounds like a load of ****. I'd be shocked if they let go 3/5ths of their cast just as the series is really on it's way up, and especially not their most bankable star in Barrowman.

But reading your post now, maybe there's a small slither of truth in some of it. But I honestly can't imagine Torchwood surviving on just Gwen, Ianto and a load of newbies.

Tonight's BBC2 episode was pretty gut-wrenching, and showed that the series can do human drama just aswell as the out-and-out sci-fi. Gwen's not always my favourite character, but Eve Myles is consistently the show's best performer.

True there are so many different rumors.

Ianto was supposed to leave in the first season now he is as active as the others so I dont pay much attention to the rumors. Honestly I see no reason to replace any of the current team. But you said Jack, Owen or Tosh are rumored to be leaving, now it'd be stupid to get rid of Jack so perhaps either Owen or Tosh leave/get killed off. Also Martha Jones is set to come back to the show in season 3.

Fragments was very interesting and I cant wait for the finale.

I agree completely with your comment on there being no reason to replace the team.

Much of Torchwood's appeal, for me anyway, is the team dynamic rather than anything else; Tosh/Owen's near-romance, Ianto slowly becoming a fully accepted member of the team, Jack slowly beginning to take more of an interest in and care for his colleagues, etc.

But if Martha's coming onboard for series 3, that suggests to me that Owen at least might be on his way out, they wouldn't bother having two team doctors would they? And I don't know if they would want to keep two "non-mortal" characters assuming Jack sticks around.

Well in my opinion,

Owen has now become a very weak character, he is a reanimated corpse and he cant repair injuries, he is much more vulnerable than the others now, as surely one attack would put him out of commission.

True, there's only so far they can go now without Owen becoming a HUGE plot-hole I suppose.

Maybe those were just rumours, and him having a bigger role in this series is a (rather ingenious) way of scotching them.

Neither can I.

No, cause at a convention interview he said that

when he first went for the role he was told that his character wouldn't appear in every episode of season one. Apparently he was suppose to leave after Cyberwoman but he did such a great job they decided to keep him.

Way to many rumors, I can't keep up <_<

i wasnt that keen on 'Adrift', i really wasnt sure about it, im a bit on the fence with that episode, it might grow on me

cannot wait for the season finale, hopefully nothing too dramatic happens and no-one leaves, ive loved torchwood this series!!!!!

I've heard that Owen and Tosh are leaving, and Martha is replacing Owen. I've also heard that Mickey [From Doctor Who - Rose's Ex BF] is joining the team

Of course, these could be utter bull.

Well i've heard the Owen/Martha one aswell and I have to say I prefer Martha to Owen, she is hilarious (red unit caps ). So it wouldn't bother me if it were true. But I haven't heard the Mickey one before.

and all the BBC Three first look people will have to wait until next week like everyone else for the series finale, the day before the Doctor returns :w00t:
I know, Torchwood finale, Doctor Who opening. What a brilliant weekend. :w00t:

I've seen these rumours floating around a lot of places the last few days so I'm starting to believe that they're accurate. It would also explain why they bothered with Martha for those few episodes. At first glance, her appearance was completely pointless and added nothing, but perhaps it was just supposed to be laying some foundations for next season, getting her acquainted with Gwen and Ianto...
