As a Liverpool supporter even I find the current scoreline funny.

However, I won't be laughing if we don't go and thrash them by at least three or four goals by the end of the match.

the news of Derby's new owners seems to have done the trick :kink:

Has a Preston fan, I don't care. I just hope we don't get Man City in the next round (should they beat Sheffield United tomorrow, of course - although that's only 'cos my flatmate Jo supports them).

Taking the lead against probably the best team in the world in their own back yard and to suffer from a joke sending off is nothing too much to be ashamed of

We just got $h!t luck with the draw

come on he did sort of flick his arm towards the ball to prevent a goal

could have done without Rooney's protests -_- he gets on my nerves thinking he knows best every time <_<

A joke? He clearly punched it out of Rooney's way

A joke? Take your Spurs tinted glasses off! If that was Kelvin Wilson () I would have NO arguments. Or if it was Rio Ferdinand you would've had no arguments.

Accidental or not, his arm was about as outstretched as it can get! You just cannot put your hands there!

Dawson's "save" was better than Cerny's attempt for the third goal anyway...
The referee had no choice with the sending off. Dawson clearly flicked his arm towards the ball. I don't like the law which makes it a mandatory red card offence but that's what it says at the moment.

I was at a PNE game once, and an opponent put his arm into the air to handle the ball? Result - A yellow card and a PNE penalty. Which was converted.

Last man?

Some referees will bend over backwards to find a reason not to send the defender off in incidents like this. Unfortunately, I don't think yesterday's referee could argue that Dawson wasn't the last man.
