January 31, 200817 yr Supposidly C4 did not show the Kylie video as it breached Ofcom\'s photosensitive epilepsy (PSE) guidelines. The background includes lots of regular patterns. \"Flickering or intermittent images and certain types of regular patterns can cause problems for some viewers who have PSE. Ofcom has drawn up guidelines, following consultation with leading medical experts in this area, with the aim of reducing viewers risk of exposure to potentially harmful images of this type. In view of the potential harm which certain material can cause to PSE sufferers, broadcasters must exercise care when dealing with sequences which contain flashing images. Content which contains rapid scene cuts and/or where there is a change in screen brightness between cuts, should be reviewed with special care.
February 2, 200817 yr That is the most PATHETIC reason possible. Surely the logical thing to do would be to provide a prominent warning just prior to the showing of the video?
February 2, 200817 yr well its being played on tv now but its a much faster version if you guys noticed. Its to conpensate for all the strobe lights so its not as bad.
February 2, 200817 yr I think a warning would've sufficed too. Should have seen me when the Geordie voiceover announced it wasn't being shown...my jaw just dropped!! So disappointed!
