Ok, so, welcome to the brand new Buzzjack Game and here's how it works... :D

 

Basically, you'll need to invent a brand new album 'eg, James' Album' and come up with a small cover for it. This will then be your template album for each week. Each week, you take your 15 favourite songs from that weeks UK Top 75 (with a slight variant the next week). There must also be at least one song from the top 10, 1 from 10-20, one from 20-30 and so on.

On Friday, the voting thread is opened and you take your favourite album (ie with the best songs). From this we then compile the album chart. Then from your favourite album you take the 15 songs and give your favourite 15 points, the next 14 points and so forth. For example, if my favourite album contained Nickelback - Rockstar and Rihanna - Don't Stop The Music, i would put:

 

15 Points - Nickelback - Rockstar

14 Points - Rihanna - Don't Stop the Music

 

OK yet again there has been a rule change :lol: Basically, in the voting thread, album creators must rate their OWN album 15-1 and pick 5 other songs to vote 5-1 points. They must also pick their fave album, which isn't their own. Non album creators must pick their 20 faves from the list of songs on everyones albums (obviously with duplicates taken out). Then tthey must also nominate their fave album. Songs are also awarded bonus points depnding on the number of albums they appear on :D

 

etc etc.

 

From this we will compile a singles chart as well as the personal albums chart. Understood? :D

 

So, we'll begin now and should we get the interest open voting on Friday for the first chart.

Slight rule change - in bold in the first post - i have a feeling my idea has come crashing down and not working as i'd hoped :rolleyes:

i like the idea and will join in soon, i think/perfer it to be top 75 rather than top 40 becuase sometimes i dont even like 15 songs in the top 40 and top 75 gives you more option.

It seems like a great idea! Well thought out and seems fairly original :) .

 

If there is one thing that i am worse at than art, then it is computer art/graphics :P . Do we REALLY have to make a cd cover, can't we be inventive with the fonts and stuff on the forum :P because im awful at making cd covers (ive tried with photoshop, im awful, i just am don't laugh :P )

How should it work?

 

A - Vote 15-1 on your own album (provising you have your own) and someone elses

or

B - Just someone elses?

or

C - Just our own / if not a designer just someone elses and this contributes to the album chart

 

I can see positives and negatives to all :unsure:

I had a new plan... should we take the songs off everyones albums and compile a list of the top songs for that week, then people vote for their top 10/15 from that list. Then we compile the singles love chart as usual as well as the album chat solely off the number of votes songs on peoples albums received. Would that work? I think thats a much better idea :lol:

 

PLUS - the more times a song appears, it gets say bonus points?

an idea for voting could be a song chart which will be how high songs are rated on everyones album (if everyone orders the tracklisting in order of how much they like the song). and also every week we vote for our favourite album or maybe favourite 3 albums or favourite however many albums and then also have an personal album chart

I think it would be good if people vote for their favourite albums, then their say top 10 songs for that week BUT only a certain number of them can be from their own album. :)

PLUS perhaps receiving bonus points depending on the number of albums it appears on?
