Posted February 9, 200817 yr With Dutch trance outfit Basshunter hitting it bit with Now You're Gone, I think they should re-issue their previous single Botenanna It could be just as big a hit. For anyone who hasn't heard it can listen to it HERE What do you think? Edited February 10, 200817 yr by Euro Music

February 10, 200817 yr Author Isnt this just Now You're Gone but in foreign ? EDIT: actually i dont think it is but sounds very similar No its not the same - Although Boten Anna is sung in Dutch - to me it shouldn't make any difference as to whether it is released or not in the UK. Look at all the tracks in English that are in the charts in Europe. I get sick of people being bias to foreign languages. If it's a good song it should be available. Couldn't the record companies and radio stations be sued as everything is supposed to be equal across Europe. Even if they don't become hits, They should get equally released and equal airplay. Then the public can choose. Edited February 10, 200817 yr by Euro Music
February 10, 200817 yr When You're Gone is the English version of Boten Anna. That's why Boten Anna won't get a release in the UK.

The last foreign language song i remember in the top 40 was El Chombo- Chaccarron i think, unless you include Groove Armarda- Get Down  (does not make any sense)

You probably mean Swedish since the original Boten Anna is in Swedish. Well, like stated above, Now You're Gone is Boten Anna - a little speeded up and different lyrics. I actually thought they would include the original version on the cd also - especially since I do think the original Swedish version is better than the English one, which I do like also.
February 12, 200817 yr It would flop anyway, like you said foreign language music just doesn't do well in the UK. In recent years I can only think of The Ketchup Song as the only to have achieved any real success here, and that was only the chorus in foreign and some other bits. :P
