Grohl defended Amy and had this to say about the ongoing media coverage of the singer: “When you’re an incredibly talented hot young new artist, everybody wants to know your story and wants to see you. “There’s a lot of pressure when you are in the spotlight. The best thing is for people to leave her alone and just let her make music.” “I love to see her perform. We honestly wore that record out at home. “My daughter loves that record and it’s a little unnerving when your two-year-old sings Rehab all day long. Weird but true.” “There’s a lot of pressure when you are in the spotlight. The best thing is for people to leave her alone and just let her make music.” The Foo Fighters won Best Hard Rock Performance and Best Rock Album for Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace at the bash and Dave was typically modest about their wins: “I think that maybe it’s a sympathy vote! It’s not really a popular album that sold lots of copies. “It didn’t even really get good reviews but I think they needed a rock band and they kind of feel sorry for us.” The band performed The Pretender on the night and it was directed by Multi-Instrumentalist John-Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin. Jones led a full orchestra and the fast-paced energetic and excitable perform from the Foo Fighters received a massive applause. What do you think of Dave Grohl comments taking into account he was the drummer in Nirvana and what happened to Kirk Cobain?
February 13, 200818 yr With comments like this, I think Amy is one of THE very few singers that can unite fans of so many different genre's. She is amazing.
