April 12, 200817 yr Yep, but how many of them players have been stars of the team - Rooney, Gerrard - that's it. The reason we have three teams in the semi-finals is largely down to the quality of the foreign players in those teams - Fabregas (was the most important player for Arsenal throughout their participation), Ronaldo, Drogba, Torres, Mascherano & Vidic. Ferdinand, Lampard and Terry not key players? Riiiiiiight..... Edited April 12, 200817 yr by RabbitFurCoat
April 12, 200817 yr ^^^No not really. Vidic is more important than Ferdinand. Drogba is more important than Lampard and Terry. Simple.
April 12, 200817 yr I don;t think so, really. Rio is equal in that partnership at worst. Together they are immense, drop either and it's a whole lot worse... Terry is the captain for Chelsea and a great leader (if a bit of an idiot), all clubs need their captain. Lampard scores around twenty goals every season, that is definitely key. And we both missed Joe Cole too. Ask any Chelsea fan who they think their best or most importany players are and his name will be mentioned as much as anyone elses.
April 12, 200817 yr Skrtel's becoming one of the best defenders in the league. He's impressed me recently.
April 12, 200817 yr The English League is a hell of a lot faster then any league in the world and not many players adapt to it straight away and the same for when players go abroad, even when foreigners go to other country from England! Look at Henry! As a United supporter I consider Rio our most important player in our back line by a long way!

Simple. ^o) You dont go to alot of games of whoever you support do you lmfao Rio is easily the most important thing in our back line and the partnership with vidic is very important. Yes, drogba scores more goals than terry and lampard but what Terry and Lampard offer Chelsea in terms of pace, width etc. easily outclasses Drogba.

For your information, I am actually a Manchester United season ticket holder. I go to all home games and the occasional away game. So i think i'm entitled to an opinion on who i think is our best player. What Terry and Lampard offer for Chelsea in terms of pace & width? When Terry and Lampard both play down the middle of the pitch and both are well-known for their lack of pace. What a great counter-argument you harbour!

Well, i am also a manchester united season ticket holder, so im entitled to my opinion aussi :) Umm, they may play down the middle but the amount of balls Lampard puts into the box. Drogba is just a goalscoring diver. But i assume since he's got a certain number of goals, in your books he's a "legend"
April 13, 200817 yr Oh, a fellow season ticket holder. Man utd will hopefully win the Champions Leage. But i have a feeling Barcelona may win it, because they'll probably have sorted out their personality issues by then.

April 13, 200817 yr LOL Barca wont win it, they're flukey, United v Liverpool final all the way. Liverpool v Man United is a sound bet. I hope it is between those two teams.
April 13, 200817 yr Chelsea vs Man Utd, I feel. And hope. Liverpool vs Man Utd in a final abroad would be a nightmare, quite frankly.
April 13, 200817 yr I hope it's a Liverpool Barcelona final. Not sure whether it will be though. Is too close to call between Liverpool and Chelsea, could be either one of them. Over two legs in Europe i'd be very confident that Liverpool could beat Man Utd, but over one i'm not sure. Would certainly be a good game. I know a lots been said about Liverpool and Man Utd in the finalm but IF it happens there won't be half as much trouble as everyone expects there to be. Was watching You're On Sky Sports the other night and they were discussing this issue and they said to be able to get into Moscow you have to apply for a pass (or something along those lines) 3 weeks before you travel at the least.
April 13, 200817 yr big difference that could decide the Liverpool tie is the fact they play at Anfield first. If Chelski score in that then there could be trouble ahead
