I can actually see a Manchester United-Chelsea final. United have the strength and depth to outclass Barcelona right now, and the Puyol suspension thing will obviously work in their favour. Chelsea's season is pretty much finished too unless a miracle occurs in the Prem. Fair enough Liverpool are playing for nothing else but the Champions League too but I reckon Chelsea will want it more and get the win.

Although from a United fan's perspective a showdown with Liverpool is obviously the more favourable option.

Can I ask why both Manchester United season ticket holders posted on BuzzJack during the Man Utd vs Arsenal match at Old Trafford?

LOL!!

I live in Manchester thank you dear :smoke:

Still I predict Chelsea will certainly defeat Liverpool in the Semi Finals thanks to some key refereeing decisions going Chelski's way. Put your Russian mafia/oil earnt money on it! What with the final being played in Moscow in a stadia built with money by a certain owner of a certain Stamford Bridge based football club in London. ;) :(

Well unless you count John Arne Riise heading into his own net from below knee level after 94 minutes and 1 second as cheating I think it's pretty to say advantage Chelsea without any dodgy refereeing decisions.

Liverpool 1 - 1 Chelsea

Chelski's name is surely on the cup and Roman Abramovich has paid for it for them to win it in a stadia he paid for in Moscow.

Surely, the casual neutral could not have failed to watch one of the most appallingly blatant refereeing performances in living memory. What did John Terry have to do to get sent off? What did Drogba have to do to get any of his dives not given? Where the hell did the 5 minutes of injury time in the second half come from, etc?

Liverpool should have easily won 2-0, but with Essien back from suspension, and surely Cech & Lampard will be a week fitter, Liverpool are surely out, especially as Chelski's 12th man has the whistle & the yellow & red cards.

What?!

Terry wasn't that bad, deservedly booked, nothing worse, just a few niggly challenges which should be expected. Drogba was a nuisance(sp) all night, thought he did alright, only went down about three times, one was a fair tangle with Carragher which the ref correctly let go and one when you could see his knee which had caused him problems all season take a bit of a jerk, fair enough I though. And five minutes? It was four, the goal went in exactly one second after the four minutes of injury time. Five were played because of the celebrations and kick off just after.

As a neutral I thought the ref had a good game, certainly better than the one which failed to give Arsenal and penalty at the Emirates and the one who sent Marco Matterazzi off at Anfield!

I'm expecting Liverpool to come barging out of that tunnel at the Bridge and flatten Chelsea.

Chelski and their fans are going to be so arrogant and cocky until Wednesday next week <_< Strange because they had to rely on an own goal by poor Riise

Come on Gerrard and co :cheer:

No chance, football and especially FIFA & UEFA are allegedly corrupt (check out Matthew Hall's excellent book FIFA, UEFA, Corruption, and Lies = a great and shocking read) & Chelski are as good as through.

As for RFC'c bizarre comments regarding the referee, then lets look at the Match Stats:

Liverpool v Chelski:

Shots at Goal: 12 - 7

Corners: 6 - 5

Possession: 56 - 44%

Territory in opponents half: 58 - 42%

Fouls: 20 - 17

Considering Liverpool (certainly after the first 25 minutes, dominated the match, it is bizarre that Liverpool fouled more than Chelski)

Take the two key strikers:

Torres: Fouls conceded 4, Fouled 2

Drogba: Fouls conceded 3, Fouled 7

I think that tells you everything towards whom the referee sympathies were with, as I said before the European Champions League Final takes place in Moscow for the first time in the The Grand Sports Arena of the Luzhniki Olympic Complexa stadia renovated in 2002 with £125 million of Roman Abramovich's money.

All that proves is that Liverpool were the better side, which they were...

As for the fouls on the centre forwards, both played different games, Chelsea often just hit it up to Drogba and Liverpool didn't do that, both are completely different types of player, Drogba is the type of player that will win fouls, he does it in every game, nothing different at all last night. It proves absolutely nothing! I think you're possibly reading too much into this supposed conspiracy theory, the ref had a decent game, the only decision I think was shockingly wrong was Cole's foul on Kuyt, and as that was the linesman that let it go.....

Well all i care about is the match tonight, as i support MUFC i want em to get at least 1 away goal this evening and ultimately keep a clean sheet :)

But probably less bizarre than the most fouled player in the Euro 2008 qualifiers representing San Marino!

I loved Rafa's post match comments. 'How come there was one minute of injury time in the first half but four in the second?'

Has he never been to a football match before? If he has, he's realise that was the norm. Unless there's a serious injury in the first half it is always the case. Four substiutions and one player (who just happened to play for Liverpool) stretechered off. The phrase 'clutching at straws' comes to mind...

I hope Ronaldo shows over the hill and long gone Ronaldinho how to turn it on :heehee:
Is it wrong that i would prefer Barca to beat any of the English teams!?

I want Barca to win it ^_^
