He's v.pissed I know that!

I did LOL when he started blowing the hooter I must admit. It was the timing of it that was brilliant.

Best album too. ^_^

Their speech was v.good too, even though it didn't make that such sense (that was the best part of it however). Nick looked stoned off his head too!...

LOL the win for the Monkeys in 2 awards seems to be causing a stir on BuzzJack

I know! It's hilarious!

The best band for those two awards :D And great speeches with PERSONALITY, a concept that some Buzzjackers just aren't getting :(

The way they took the p*** out of the Brits school was priceless

I don't understand why they bother going if they clearly aren't going to take it seriously. I think that's what most people are annoyed with...

Arctic Monkeys: We won, like we give a f***!

Leona (as one example of someone who lost out): Would most probably cry.

Well they're just having a bit of fun and being themselves! If Leona won it she wouldn't have showed a bit of emotion as usual probably! She'd be like "Oh yeah thank you" *walks off* I'm sure they are flattered as I'm sure they will be with their many NME awards they'll get later too :P Just like with their hilarious speeches last year they just made an effort to be themselves and take their moment!

Anyway as I said in the Lounge they're all in it for the music and FWN was imo the best collection of music put out this year!

Completely uneccessary dig about Leona -_-

Girls Aloud then... if they'd won would they wouldn't have gone up and gone YAY FOR THE BRIT SCHOOL. f*** YOU ALL. Nope. If I was the Arctics I would feel honoured, or treat it as a joke and refuse the nomination or not attend. Last year was funny, but last year they didn't make a mockery of the whole thing by actually attending.

Well from what I read earlier they weren't planning on going, but Alex's girlfriend got them all to go in the end. They'll have gone for the free booze and that's it. They didn't ask to be nominated, or win, but the BRITs panel nominated for them. I agree it's quite disrespectful especially since so many other artists would have seen the awards that Arctic Monkeys won as a great success, and I do think deep down that they'll be pleased they won.

I can't blame them for their acceptance speech though. All it was throughout the evening was plug, after plug, after plug for the BRITs school.

Shift keys all over the internet are feeling very lonely tonight I'm sure :(

Bloody hell, fire alarm <_<

I thought it was hillarious. But a bit ignorant as they didn't bother to thank their fans who've supported them, although they where slightly p/ssed.

Even though her album is sh/t, I think Leona should of won the award though, I mean, she lost out to TAKE blooming THAT. :(

Take That, Arctic Monkeys and Foo Fighters have won two awards apiece at this year's Brit Awards.

Take That took home the British Single trophy for 'Shine' and the British Live Act gong, while Arctic Monkeys won the British Album award for Favourite Worst Nightmare and the prize for British Group.

Foo Fighters won both awards for which they were nominated: International Album for Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace and International Group.

Having been nominated in four categories, Leona Lewis failed to win a Brit Award. The X Factor star lost the British Female prize to Kate Nash and surrendered the British Breakthrough Act trophy to Mika. She was also snubbed in the British Single and British Album categories.

Kylie Minogue won the International Female prize, while Kanye West took home the trophy for International Male.

Mark Ronson also enjoyed a successful evening, winning the award for British Male.

Sir Paul McCartney collected the Outstanding Contribution to Music trophy, ending the evening with a medley of his greatest hits.

And the best thing is the beat Take That and GA...

Ahhhh

so glad to hear these news...

i mean i, ts a big achievement to win the most important awards (best band & album) of the night n beat the c**p pop thing...

i dont know anythin about their speeches but all i can understand from all these comments is that it was another classic cool arctic monkeys moment.these guys have the guts , humor n attitude.congrats ...;)

They were so annoying last night when they got the Best Group gong especially, and a lot of people were thinking the same yesterday...

And when their speech got rightfully cut off, one of them throw something to the audience, I think it was the award itself. It could have hurt someone :(

There's enjoying yourself, then there's enjoying yourself. If that's true then they went too far imo. It's alright having a laugh etc. but throwing something at the audience is not right.

"I remember Kenzie, with his little face beaming. See you at Crossroads"
