February 21, 200817 yr Come on Sara Bareilles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best song of 2008 finally goes top 5
February 21, 200817 yr V.high debut for Mariah, and Leona is not dong too bad herself either! Can't believe Flo Rida is still #1 though. Hopefully Chris Brown can knock them off next wek.
February 21, 200817 yr Miley Cyrus better go top 10 next week, her airplay increase is starting to diminish...
February 21, 200817 yr I think Miley's peaked now, unless she releases a video next week ;) Britney
February 21, 200817 yr CHRIS SHOULD BE NUMBER 1 NEXT WEEK!!! And Yay  :cheer: for Cascada moving up again this week and Leona Debuting! :D
February 21, 200817 yr Mariah Carey's high debut can be easily explained by the fact that her record company released it on the best day possible in a week to get the most attention this week. It was released just before Billboard's chart cut-off date last week so it did gain quite a bit airplay but not enough to debut. But then this week it didn't have to start from the scratch but had already spread all through the formats and reaped the benefits this week. And, of course, the fact that it is rnb ballad maximises its chart performance thanks to strong adult rnb airplay, something that only two Alicia Keys' songs & J Holiday song also have inside Billboard top 20. It seems that Carey's labels have always been very careful and strategic with her single releases while record companies to many other big acts haven't really cared that much and she really has reaped benefits from that, even thou she has been also quite lucky. I mean getting that extra "fake" week at no 1 with We Belong Together and therefore getting a 14-week run at the top, talk about luck. And that sudden deletion of Because You Loved me so that Always Be My Baby made it to the top. No-One, of course, benefitted from the post-Grammy download surge, next week both its sales and downloads should collapse, thou they are together still so strong so I doubt that it will drop no more than one spot but after that it should start falling faster. Low should easily stay at no 1 next week. Although With You will power past it on airplay, Low still has a huge lead over it on sales. And Flo Rida's new one, Elevator, is gonna have quite a nice debut next week even thou its airplay is still very low it is already I-Tunes top 15. Leona is already up to no 40 in I-Tunes and also climbing nicely on both pop & rhythmic top 40 so she will have a nice climb next week. I doubt M. Cyrys will make it into top 10 next week. Her sales are pretty static and airplay slowing down and all songs ahead of her are either climbing faster than her or have a huge lead over her. Also Teardrops On My Guitar will be falling next week, both airplay and sales are falling for this one. One song with big climb next week should be the Sparks/Brown duet.
February 22, 200817 yr Glad to see OneRepublic have gotten their second top 20 hit this week, also glad to see Jordin's new song doing so well, I hope it gives her a second top 10!! Did You Know Im No Good reach a new peak this week?
February 22, 200817 yr Oh good for Leona! Maybe she'll fly the flag for the Brits and wipe out the horrible trash from that chart. God so much c**p makesm e proud to have OUR charts.
February 22, 200817 yr Am i just blind or is Rehab by Amy Winehouse not in the chart?? What is up with that considering it is in the top ten of the hot digital tracks? You Know Im No Good re-entered and it is only top 50 of the hot digital tracks...why hasn't rehab re-entered?
February 22, 200817 yr Am i just blind or is Rehab by Amy Winehouse not in the chart?? What is up with that considering it is in the top ten of the hot digital tracks? You Know Im No Good re-entered and it is only top 50 of the hot digital tracks...why hasn't rehab re-entered? Because it has already reached its 20 weeks run, peaked inside Top 50 and falled off the chart! It is elegible again if it's repromoted by the label and enters inside Top 50!

And that sudden deletion of Because You Loved me so that Always Be My Baby made it to the top. Why is everyone always so quick to make excuses for Mariah's success? It really pisses me off. She's a success because she has great music, a flawless voice and fantastic song writing abilities. Yes, she does have a 'clever' record label, but well surely that's not her fault for finding the best in the business to maximise on her success is it?
February 22, 200817 yr Why is everyone always so quick to make excuses for Mariah's success? It really pisses me off. She's a success because she has great music, a flawless voice and fantastic song writing abilities. Yes, she does have a 'clever' record label, but well surely that's not her fault for finding the best in the business to maximise on her success is it? You are mistaking facts and excuses. All what I wrote are based on facts and not to diss Mariah. What I cannot undertsand are overprotective fans that cannot even stand the facts. For example, yes, her new track has had good initial response from several different formats and that why it is charting well. But to debut that high there had been also some extra strategic planning from her record company. And I didn't say it was something bad or anything, just that it is the reason for the high debut. If the song would have debuted at 99 because of just one day of airplay I would have said that it will zoom up the chart next week because that debut was based on just one day. So maybe you shouldn't wear your Mariah glasses all the time.
February 23, 200817 yr Because it has already reached its 20 weeks run, peaked inside Top 50 and falled off the chart! It is elegible again if it's repromoted by the label and enters inside Top 50! thanks for the info. What RIDICULOUS rules they have though....
