Posted February 22, 200817 yr Could she? I mean Nickleback had minor (Very minor hits) off their wasnt as big as expected album, and then a few years later they release a song they should have released ages ago and it helps the album go multi platnium (Well it must be by now surely???) I think she could have similar sort of success thing probably not as successful as 'Rockstar' but something that gives the album a much needed boost! Because i personally thought Kelly Clarksons 'My December' was one of the most under rated albums of 2007! If so what song do you think could be the one to do it for her? I think if any, 'Sober' Edited February 22, 200817 yr by Johnjo07
February 22, 200817 yr Firstly No. Secondly I don't get the point of this thread? Is Kelly Clarkson actually releasing an old track? If your speaking hypothetically about anyone repeating the success of 'Rockstar'?! I can't see it happening regularly just a quirk: new year lull, good video, the right song at the right time, random!
February 22, 200817 yr No, she will need to wait for another album and NEEDS a big radio hit to launch the album
February 22, 200817 yr I wish she could do that indeed :) This album is not that bad, quite good infact.
February 22, 200817 yr No, she's had her time and it'll take an incredible song to get her back in the big time. Since she presumably doesn't write her own songs I can't see her being given one strong enough. C'est la vie.
February 22, 200817 yr I mean why didn't $h!telback release 'Rockstar' in 2005? They wrote it off and then decided to after it was HUGE in America. It's one of those songs that people do karaoke too and get the hook stuck in their head - just sing it when the guys have had some beers whether they're 18 or 40 - the girls sing it. Heck my nan sings it  It still shouldn't be doing so well though as they're a dire band and Chad Kroegar's voice is just YUCK. Oh and no Clarkson won't.
February 22, 200817 yr firstly, don;t even consider dissin kelly secondly, i think you'll fid if u read the credits on her albums, she does write a lot of her lyrics, most of them on my december, the album is amazing work and i agree it was without a doubt the most under rated album of last year. Bring on sober!!!!!!
February 22, 200817 yr Hmm I don't really get why people in general think that artists have to write their own music, otherwise its no good  I think she could make her underrated album big with Sober, but it's highly unlikely her label will release it over here after two failed attempts in the US. I did comment in Kelly Forum that her label should be more daring and release something different as the Kate Nash-Adele-Lily Allen alternative style is selling in the UK and is award-winning.

Bring on sober!!!!!! Suggests she had less songwriters desperate to get their work on her latest LP - and lyric credits are just the way pop stars get a higher percentage of the profits. I'm talking about finished product hits - the type that could go to number one, not album filler.
February 22, 200817 yr Hmm I don't really get why people in general think that artists have to write their own music, otherwise its no good  You miss the point completely - as an American Idol winner I'm assuming she hasn't any experience writing songs which means she has to rely on songwriters - and songwriters will want their song to go to whoever is currently most popular. Therefore she has to remain at the top to get the best songs.
February 22, 200817 yr ^ She writes her own song... she wrote because of you when she was like 6? or something stupid like that.. she wrote most of her new album... she wrote the song irvine (on my december) after a concert in irvine america... so she does deserve success.... My december is a good album, she should have released Haunted and How I Feel tho Kelly will come back with a country album and be big in america or a radio friendly album and be big everywere, however it will NOT be too poppy, because that isn't what she wants to do... and she won't do what she doesn't want to...
February 22, 200817 yr Haunted would NOT have been successful. A good song doens't make a successful one at radio! It is totally, 100% un-radio friendly. Similarly I love Chivas but to suggest it as a single would be mad (if it wasn't a hidden track anyway). :P I'd have gone: 1. One Minute 2. Sober 3. Don't Waste Your Time 4. Judas But it doesn't much matter since they weren't supporting or promoting her fully anyway. :( Edited February 22, 200817 yr by Jark
February 22, 200817 yr "Breakaway" was an amazing album, "My December" is unbearable, no matter how well written it is. The production of it is so lame, I only really like Never Again from the album.
February 22, 200817 yr are you kidding? lol My December wasn't made for No1 tracks except surely Never Again! maybe next time!
February 22, 200817 yr Sober would be the only one to manage it, and it would do a 'You're Beautiful' kinda run anyway. The album is dead in the water anyway unfortunately :(

February 22, 200817 yr "Breakaway" was an amazing album, "My December" is unbearable, no matter how well written it is. The production of it is so lame, I only really like Never Again from the album. We must have different versions of My December then.
February 22, 200817 yr And? I don't see what that's got to do with what I said? Neither did your comment? Unless it was a follow-on from the poster before? In which case, neither did their comment...
