Posted February 22, 200817 yr As the physical release of 'Homecoming' has now been officially cancelled its download peak of number 9 has beaten 'Say It Right'/'Lord Don't Slow Me Down's record of number 10 being the highest position a song has reached in the UK Chart without a physical release. Edit: Although according to Manic it's now scheduled for a 17th March release. But considering that'll have been a full two months after peaking and it's already been pushed back/cancelled ATLEAST 3 times I can't see it happening. Edited February 22, 200817 yr by RabbitFurCoat
February 23, 200817 yr It hasn't gone yet since Homecoming might still get a physical release. Fiest- 1,2,3,4 sold practically nothing physically.
February 23, 200817 yr Author Neither have Nickelback. And the Xmas songs were pretty much entirely downloads. But a physical was available...
February 23, 200817 yr Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas didn't have a physical so surely the record goes to that?
February 24, 200817 yr Oh well it was only a matter of time before it was beaten... I love "Homecoming" so its all good. Nelly will always be the first download only to enter top ten and until someone outsells her, she still has the biggest selling download only single.
April 5, 200817 yr ya its a shame she has been beaten especially as the song i snowhere near as good as nelly.s nickelback have sold hardy anything on phyiiscal they could have had the biggest download only release i think if they didnt do a phyisiical
April 12, 200817 yr Yeah...lets not try a desperate attempt at making up reasons why Nelly still holds the record. Kanye beat her, fair and square. Shame! :puke2: :puke2:
April 13, 200817 yr Yeah...lets not try a desperate attempt at making up reasons why Nelly still holds the record. Kanye beat her, fair and square. Shame! It's not an excuse though, being released on 12" obviously means he wasn't Download-Only. Nelly had no other format other than downloads. The record stands.
