Posted February 25, 200817 yr When pre-ordering - What is the maximum time you are allowed when doing this? 2 Weeks? Surely you can't pre-order forever? Because single sales still count? And you don't have to download the track when you do pre-order it? Thanks.
February 25, 200817 yr Author When releasing a song into the charts. How long can you pre-order for? Because if I buy a song on pre-order that still counts as a sale when released. So what is the maximum time your allowed to Pre-Order a song for? Better? Thanks.

The recent Wet Wet Wet single was available, in the way it was sold, as a pre-order 8 weeks before its release.
March 6, 200817 yr Why do I get the feeling that someone is planning to use false preorders as a method of hyping? Maybe I'm just too cynical.

No I think someone is planning to advertise a single and sell it pre-order before it's released. This is quite typically how some singles where sold. I don't think there is any limit on time you can pre-order a single. I remember the later singles by "Frankie Goes To Hollywood" being available maybe 2 months before it's release and promoted as available to pre-order. Edited March 6, 200817 yr by e-motion

Well, I'm all ISRC'd up now. Getting ready for Pre-Order. In the aid of Richard Rashman noticing what I am doing. Hopefully he could become my manager from this. Why not shoot for the stars eh? You never know, there could be a huge thread on me here. That would be good.
