The release date of Mariah Carey's new single Touch My Body is the 31st March. What do you think, will she be a contender for a top 10 position? Will Touch My Body be her third number 1 after Without You and Against All Odds (with Westlife)?

....................................................... But I think this could become my second favourite Mariah Carey song of all time (behind her debut Vision Of Love).

 

I certainly think it is better than any other track on Leona Lewis' debut album with the exception of Bleeding Love, probably because it has got a great groove, reminding me of We Belong Together and far more crucially she does NOT showboat/wails vocal gymnastics over the top of this like 99.9% of her material between her second album up until her last album, and just concentrates on singing the bloody song (for a change).

 

Surefire Top 3, but I can see it hanging around the Top40 all summer, getting on your nerves when the Sunday Chartshow countdown plays it as a climber up 2 to 32 at the end of August Bank Holiday weekend. :lol:

Top 5. Its ok nothing special.

I said top 3, but I would like it to get to #1. It could go either way though. I see it being top 20 at worst.

The video is excellent! :heart: I'm not overly keen on the track and it still hasn't grown on me but the video is helping it grow. I think between #9-#11 but of course I want it to be as big of a hit as possible. :D

I wouldn't want to touch her body if my life depended on it.

With all my respect to Mariah (I consider her one of the greatest female vocalist of our time) I think this is one of her worse singles + a really cheesy video + rediculous outfit choices. For the exact same reasons I think it will be fairly successful lead single.

I wouldn't completely rule out a No.1, but a dead cert Top 5 easy.

Just to think that only UK and Ireland made Against all Odds a hit with Westlife

 

Everywhere else it was her solo version that was the hit.

I have the solo version on German import. No way would I have bought the version that Pestlife ruined.
