Hmmm... Gimme More? Yes. The rest? No.

We'll see how total album sales compare. :P

Well, I think it would be safer to compare sales to when Mariah had her mental breakdown...which was ummm not very good at all, in comparison with how much the singles and albums sales have been for Blackout.

Of course she will sell more, she has all of urban America eating her up right now (thats only like what, 60% America's market) , I am not in that market which is why I don't like the single. While the pop/dance bracket that Britney is in has Top 40 and that's it.

I personally HATE 'Touch My Body', as someone who's far from a fan of Mariah, I definitely think this is up there with her absolute worst ever. :puke:

Even worse than "Get Your Number" and "Boy (I Need You"? :o

I HIGHLY disagree with you, but you said nothing about it owning:

GIMME MORE, PIECE OF ME, BREAK THE ICE, HEAVEN ON EARTH, GET NAKED (I GOT A PLAN), or.......TOY SOLDIER. So 6 of her album tracks PWN TMB in your opinion?

Fair enough! :P

The only one I don't consider it worse than is 'Shake It Off'. Although it does come pretty close. :(

Fair enough Glitter was pretty much in the same boat but Glitter actually sold 1m in the US and went platinum - something Britney has yet to achieve. Also the dire Loverboy was actually #2 on the Hot100 and #1 on "single sales" for 4 weeks, the 2nd (rush released) single flopped at #81, then no more promotion, she was unceremoniously dropped (bet Virgin regret that one now...) and the rest is history as they say.

Despite all that we're not comparing Blackout (arguably Britney's BEST work) to Glitter (arguably Mariah's WORST work) we're comparing the here and now, and yeah fair enough everyone is pretty much in agreement that it wasn't the best of tracks to start the album but I think it's probably best to wait until the album is actually released to see how it fairs in comparison to Blackout. As I say the sales will speak volumes i'm sure. ^_^

Soooo any updates in the Itunes 120?? (The UK one of this thread )

I just want to make it clear that I am a Mariah fan...I just think she chose the WRONG lead single. Almost as if she had released Shake It Off instead of Like That for EOM. OBVIOUSLY LT appealed to more people then SIO. I blame the label, not Mariah.

Secondly, Glitter was released at a time when sales for albums were still very strong, the same can't be said for Blackout. But Britney has 2 platinum singles (well POM is still selling well and is at 950k) and she has already gotten great feedback with BTI worldwide. Not to mention Britney is better, so you never know -_- :P

Funnily enough Shake It Off outpeaked, had more airplay and sold more than It's Like That in the US. :P

I shall not even respond to the 2nd part, trust a HO to take it LOW. -_-

Mariah makes me laugh. I love her actually but I don't love "Touch my Body", it just makes me cringe :(

"Migrate" is a future #01 in the making (on my chart anyway).

LET US BE FRANK HERE.

Mmmhhhh.

Anyway, I hope BTI becomes another top 10 for Britney. But I think that for Blackout to be saved her record label should release Toy Soldier, Radar and then re-release Blackout because it would be such a waste and a shame to give up on this album.

Anyway, back to the topic, any updates on BTI? Still top 50?

But 'Like That' was number one on my personal chart, and 'Shake It Off' peaked at #32. NUFF SAID.

I think they might re-release Blackout after BTI, Britney has been going to the recording studio, and rumors have been swirling that she want to promote it with a new single.
