Posted March 2, 200817 yr Should Andy Abraham drop out of the UK ESC? Most people realise he was voted for being popular from X-Factor rather then having a song to represent the UK with. Should be drop out or does he deserve his place?
March 2, 200817 yr In the history of Eurovision, I've never seen such utter rubbish, we shall be repeating Jemini's performance in Belgrade, and when was the last time an R&B song entered the Eurovision, just leave it to the Americans they can do it better. Option A for me.
March 2, 200817 yr  no he won fair and sqaure, and was the best of a bad bunch I wouldn't think he won fair and square, the judges picked one from each category, and they chose Michelle over Andy he was the wild card, they shouldn't have used the Wild Card in my opinion.
March 2, 200817 yr His song is rubbish and he is boring BUT he doesn't want to go back to being a Bin Man and he has kids which he brings on stage with him to win votes and  and  and     <_< Edited March 2, 200817 yr by Esmerelda

March 2, 200817 yr No. The fact that his song will sink without trace at Eurovision, and is guaranteed a bottom six finish is irrelevant. He has qualified fair and square. The huge problem is with the way we go about selecting a song for the competition. Namely allowing the GBP to choose the winner when they have no idea what a good Eurovision song is if it bit them on the back side. The fact is Ireland will do far better with the puppet Turkey then we will do with an ex-binman. We should have taken up the offer made on BBC24 News on Saturday morning and accepted Roland Rat Superstar's offer of taking on the puppet Dustin The Turkey. After all he saved TV:AM 25 years ago, so he could have easily saved our blushes at ESC in Belgrade in May.
March 2, 200817 yr He still carried the sympathy card from X Factor. People remembered him as the binman and the people that voted for him on that show would of this time round ... its simple, last night was a popularity contest when it came down to the public vote. IMO the girl from Maria and The Revelations had more of a eurovision song but in the end the two most 'famous' contestants won.
March 2, 200817 yr Michelle should have won it in my opinion, the judges all agreed that was definitely a Eurovision song, after she performed her song at the first stage, sticking the wild card in, was the biggest mistake they ever done. And John Barrowman does not follow his DICK, utter MORON
March 2, 200817 yr COME ON FGS, Andy won his place fair and square! And YES, he was the best of a bad bunch, but Michelle was beyond AWFUL (reminds me of the horribleness that is the Maltese entry this year, actually).
March 2, 200817 yr Ridiculous poll to be completely honest, his song was the best of the lot imo, and he won it fair and square ^_^
March 2, 200817 yr Ridiculous poll to be completely honest, his song was the best of the lot imo, and he won it fair and square ^_^ YAY! :cheer: And although it's not great, this year's entry is still 1000x better than than the Scooch!
March 2, 200817 yr Another bottom placement, I see. Why doesn't Robbie Williams do it? Eurovision is seen as a joke in Britain, and so no-one you've actually heard of will EVER represent us in the Contest.
March 2, 200817 yr Eurovision is seen as a joke in Britain, and so no-one you've actually heard of will EVER represent us in the Contest. Morrissey is a HUGE fan of Eurovision but of course they'll dismiss him because it's not a 'Eurovision song' because you know Lordi was the most Eurovision song EVER :o
March 2, 200817 yr He didn't win fair and square - there shouldn't have been a wildcard, if they lost in the first place they aren't good enough - and there's NO way he was the best of a bad bunch - Michelle Gayle's performance was fantastic! And let's not forget The Revelations, who would've had a few months to brush up on their vocals had they been chosen. We're guaranteed to do badly with Andy Abraham, whereas with most of the others it was a double-or-nothing scenario depending on performance.
March 2, 200817 yr The reason Eurovision has a naff reputation over here is because of the naff we send over.
March 2, 200817 yr Author Ridiculous poll to be completely honest I did consider that, but thought it would create some interest.

The BBC announced Wogan would choose a wildcard with the rules of the new show two weeks ago (and I guess if the wildcard was given to The Revelations last night it would've been okay?). I don't know which show you've been watching, but in the one I saw Michelle song and performance was appalling to say the least! Fofoxshakes, she did the foxing Chicken Dance on stage! :manson: Oh, and The Revelations will have two months to brush up their performance?! It didn't work for Jemini or Javine, did it? It NEVER does. At least we are guaranteed of a good performance with Andy!
