Posted March 4, 200817 yr :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: About You Now has entered the french top 20 at #19 becoming their 2nd highest position after ptb. with them p***ing off 2 france a week into the tour it could climb higher. as a french member of the babes official said "its very hard for foreign acts to enter the top 20" its a great achievement for the babes! but  at the fact that ayn was released 6 months ago here
March 6, 200817 yr as a french member of the babes official said "its very hard for foreign acts to enter the top 20" lol that's bullocks, there are 6 foreign songs above them in this week charts  For info, they have sold 1.500 copies.
March 6, 200817 yr Author 1500 copies gets u top 20 in france  then again d/l don't contribute to your charts do they?
March 6, 200817 yr No, very stupidly downloads have yet to be combined into the French chart. It's more realistic to check out the official download chart.
March 8, 200817 yr Exactly, the download chart is more significant, and is bigger sales wise than the physical market. AYN is #38 on the official download chart.
March 10, 200817 yr lol that's bullocks, there are 6 foreign songs above them in this week charts  For info, they have sold 1.500 copies. That's not. There are quotas in France for radios to air at least 40% of french songs, and if artists like the babes don't have the support of NRJ (aka the biggest french Radio) they don't go anywhere. The song won't go higher cause they don't promote the song everywhere like they should. If only the release date hadn't been so late, maybe they could have promoted the song on Star Academy. But their french label always have been very messy with them.
March 11, 200817 yr It's just a little gig, it won't have much effect. BTW, the single is down to #29 in its second week.
March 11, 200817 yr still quite good considering how dificult it is for a foreign act to do well in France!
March 12, 200817 yr Author It's just a little gig, it won't have much effect. BTW, the single is down to #29 in its second week. thanks thats great news. is it holding up better than PTB and TLIY?
March 12, 200817 yr thanks thats great news. is it holding up better than PTB and TLIY? Its dropping 10 places on its second week, how can you say its great? They must have sold less than 3k overall on physical, and the single is flopping digitally (low top40).
March 12, 200817 yr But it still means they have some sort of fanbase there! I think having a single chart in any other country is always a good achievement.
