The unholy Madonna

Pop singer Madonna has courted controversy in religious quarters after she clambered up a six-metre-high mirrored crucifix to belt out a rendition of her song 'Live To Tell'.

The incident occurred on the first night of Madonna's 'Confessions on a Dancefloor' tour in Los Angeles on Sunday night, and it has incurred the wrath of several religious authorities.

A Church of England spokesperson remarked: "Is Madonna prepared to take on everything else that goes with wearing a crown of thorns?

"And why would someone with so much talent seem to feel the need to promote herself by offending so many people?"

Meanwhile, Madge has added an extra date to the UK leg of her 'Confessions on a Dancefloor' tour.

The star will now play an incredible eighth date at London's Wembley Arena on August 16

I honestly think she shouldnt have done it. I bet if someone did something like that about kabbalah she would not appreciate it.

Madonna did hit back at the critics

Madonna: Jesus wouldn't mind my stunt

Pop superstar Madonna has furiously hit back at criticisms the crucifixion stunt on her Confessions tour is disrespectful to Christians, arguing her motives are honourable.

The singer sparked a religious backlash on the first night of her Confessions tour in Los Angeles when she mounted a six-metre (20-foot) high mirrored crucifix and sang Live To Tell.

But the 47-year-old claims the iconic image was only employed to spur audience members to donate to her AIDS relief charities.

She tells the New York Daily News, 'I don't think Jesus would be mad at me and the message I'm trying to send. Jesus taught that we should love thy neighbour.'

Accompanying the stunt were images of third-world poverty, which were flashed across huge video screens at the venue, and a reminder that 12 million African children are now orphans because AIDS has killed their parents.

I love it! Most Catholics and Christian Churches are hypocrites imo. They have all their churches lined with GOLD and stuff and there's starving children out there -_-
Yep! If they want to follow by example, they should have basic praying places, and donate more to charity imo -_-. Especially the catholics :P

The Church needs to be stopped, it's a dying breed imo anyway -_-

Thats not true for everyone, but i agree on some churches.

If it was to do that then i take back what i said :D

I agree that not all churches are like that. It's mainly Catholic churches imo :P

I love this pic
