THE Sugababes are set to add some real glamour to this year's T in the Park.

Britain's most successful girl group are the latest act to confirm they will appear at the festival in Balado, near Kinross, which is in its 15th year.

Keisha Buchanan, Amelle Berrabah and Heidi Range will rub shoulders with The Prodigy, REM and The Verve.

They'll share the festival's main stage on Saturday, July 12, with Rage Against The Machine, The Kooks, Scots rockers The Fratellis and Biffy Clyro. 80,000 people have bought tickets for the festival which is completely sold out.

The girls will become the latest in a long line of sexy pop female singers to have graced the festival over the years, including Kylie Minogue who sang with Nick Cave in the 1990s.

Hailed in the Guinness Book Of World Records as the most successful all-female act of the 21st century in the UK, the Sugababes admit they can't wait to play Scotland's top festival.

Keisha, 23, said: "This will be our second time playing T in the Park and I can speak for us all when I say we really can't wait."

The founding member of the band, which formed in 1998 and has scored 20 hit singles and six No1s, says Scottish audiences have a reputation second to none.

"We've played lots of gigs around Scotland so we know just how energetic the Scottish audiences can be but the T in the Park crowd is certainly something special.

"As an all female group, it's great we'll be sharing the stage with male legends such as REM and Rage Against the Machine.

Around 180 acts will be performing on 11 stages between July 11 and 13 including Counting Crows, Lightspeed Champion, Primal Scream, Kings Of Leon, Ian Brown, Hot Chip and Kooks.

KT Tunstall and Stereophonics have also been confirmed to play as well as The Kaiser Chiefs and The Chemical Brothers.

Festival Director, Geoff Ellis, said: "We are delighted The Sugababes are coming back to T in the Park in 2008.

"We've received quite a lot of requests for them since they first played here in 2003.

"They are a big name pop-act and they will be sure to add a bit of glamour to a great festival."

am very excited.
