Goodness I watched it for the first time last night, and Alan Carr was hilarious. The Friday Night News cracked me up for about half an hour, poor Mariah didn't like all the sex jokes :lol:

I'm looking forward to Geri Halliwell to host, she'll be good. To be honest I'm not keen on the American hosts, they don't seem to get it or, in the case of Mariah, they're embarrassed easily :lol:

but tbh she did a much better job then i expected...

On Friday evening I saw Mariah Carey on the Paul O'Grady show (recorded Wednesday afternoon) and she came across really really well, very likeable and well-balanced with a good self-depreciating sense of humour.

 

But obviously something happened between then & Thursday evening for filming the Friday Night Project. As someone politely put it, she came across as embarrassed. Obviously she (or her people) had not talked to Kanye West or Rihanna beforehand about appearing on this show. :lol:

 

Still the song Touch My Body is great and I am not exactly the World's biggest Mariah Carey fan. :P

That's weird, after last nights program finished I said to my brother, I'd love to see Victoria Beckham host the show, to see if she can come across as good as Mariah. Then I realised she'd never do it and we were discussing which of the other girls might do it. We thought that Geri would be most likely, then Emma and the others (apart from Mel C, who already has) would probably say no.

 

So it's weird to see that Geri is actually going to be a host. I'm sure Alan will give her a bit of a ribbing. :lol:

Something like the 'Friday Night Project' would be banned over in America, and it's something Mariah is probably not use to. :lol:

I've grown off this show. I honestly don't find it too funny anymore. :( I prefer Nevermind the Buzzcocks.

Problem with American humour is that there's a larger audience for the show - so there's more people to offend so it's often watered down as shows can be cancelled in America with the click of a finger (on mainstream TV anyway). I think on cable in America you often find more less watered down comedies (as there's a smaller threshold audience). But saying that, the whole Jimmy Kimmel thing in America with Matt Damon and Ben Afleck wasn't watered down at all, was anything but really. :lol:

This series' guests have been a bit forgettable. Don't even get me started on Elle "I think my personality escaped during my last lipo sesh" MacPherson. Here's hoping Geri can SPICE IT UP a bit.

Gutted!!! I hate work! Coz since FNP has been back and i have been pumped for its return... they have me work a close (I work at a cinema) so i do a 6pm-2am on a friday! :( I am gutted i havent seen ANY of the new series! :cry:
