Raconteurs Announce Surprise Release Of New Album

The Raconteurs have made a surprise announcement about their second album.

 

The band, fronted by The White Stripes' Jack White, will release 'Consolers Of The Lonely' on 25th March. The album was finished at the beginning of March, with the 25th being the soonest possible date the record could available in all formats.

 

The follow-up to 2006's 'Broken Boy Soldiers' is being released without any prior interviews or advertisements before this announcement. The Raconteurs planned this method of release "so that no one has an upper hand on anyone else regarding its availability, reception or perception".

 

A video for the track 'Salute Your Solution' will appear online on 25th March, but the band have said they would prefer fans to buy the album as a whole.

Don't like them much so nope. Applaud what they've done though!

i will be buying it, the last album was amazing so hopefully this will be just as good!
