Again, due to a hectic workload and my new love life my charts will be appearing every Wednesday until mid-April, then once I'm back in uni I will be back to my usual Thursdays for the following weeks. Back to the reason you are reading this, my chart sees a masive clearout and an impressive 5, yes thats right, 5 brand spanking new entries :o Let's take a look at this weeks longer-than-usual list of casualties then: Dropouts: 20 - One Night Only - Just For Tonight {11 - 12 - 16 - 18 - 20} 19 - Lupe Fiasco featuring Matthew Santos - Superstar {9 - 3 - 1 - 3 - 5 - 9 - 12 - 17 - 19} 18 - Basshunter - Now You're Gone {5 - 5 - 3 - 4 - 7 - 8 - 11 - 15 - 18} 17 - Adele - Chasing Pavements {19 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 4 - 7 - 9 - 13 - 17} 14 - Adele - Hometown Glory {10 - 6 - 5 - 6 - 9 - 14} Aww, poor Adele, both her tracks disappear in a week that has been changing all over the place. Its been one of those weeks where I think i know my chart for the week but certain songs appear and have to enter!!!! This week could see Mark Brown and Sarah Cracknell achieve a consecutive run of 7 weeks, an 8th in total, therefore setting the record for 2008. But will they succeed, because this week there is such strong competition from the likes of The Enemy, Utah Saints, MGMT and The Mystery Jets. Chart Stats and Facts: Number 1 This Week: Mark Brown and Sarah Cracknell have set a new record, not a consecutive run but hey, who's counting!!!! (8 weeks so far......). Highest New Entry: Single number 1501 from their debut album, The Enemy continue their top five run at number 4 with 'This Song'. Biggest Faller: The Ting Tings, Goldfrapp and Kelly Rowland each fall 7 places to 19, 16 and 14 respectively. Highest Climber: Sugababes make their 3rd consecutive top 10 appearence with 'Denial', up 7 places from 13 to 6. Longest Runner: The only track to remain from my first chart of the year, 10 weeks for 'The Journey Continues'.
