These 'psychotic fans' you refer to are in the minority. Fact is that some people don't like TMB and think it's only doing well because it's Mariah. I'm in the camp that think it's an ok song but wouldn't be doing as well as it is on airplay if it wasn't for Mariah. I wouldn't mind if it made #1 on the Hot 100 though over Leona as I never expected Leona to even make top 5.

 

I heard TMB for the first time yesterday and as much as I dislike Bleeding Love (ok - not dislike - I just don't think its the best thing since sliced bread some folk seem to think it is) it is much better than Mariah Carey's effort - which sounds a bit pants and I agree with Ethereal is probably doing well because it is Mariah.

apparently people aren't that into tmb since i don't see it at the top of the list on itunes or at all. i remember makes me wonder by maroon 5 hit number one on itunes instantly. leona is still in the running.

I totally agree with that sentiment. The song isn't anywhere near as good as her stuff on Mimi, and it is only successful because it's Mariah but people slagging off Mariah because they think she is going to stop Leona is ridiculous.

Erm within a few hours of being available it was Top30, so I think you're wrong... If I knew how to check it I would give you an update. :heehee:

Oh yes I agree with that, people shouldn't slag off Mariah for it. She's already #2 on iTunes so I think she's gonna do really well with TMB. :)

Madonna has three versions on iTunes .

The total number will be massive ,although Mariah Carey is No.1 on iTunes now.

 

I'm a bit saddened to see that Leona has these sort of fans, I think we should be as nice as Leona is. Surely they should know that some members on here have put others off artists by the way they act. (I'm thinking Girls Aloud, Madonna and the Sugababes) I don't want Leona fans to be chucked into that camp.

 

I would love to see Leona and Mariah make the #1 spot over the next fortnight, unfortunately it looks like Leona may miss out, but I love "Touch My Body" so I'll be pleased for Leona no matter what. She's cracked the top 10 with the single now and I am pleased for that. All she needs is the album to do well there and I will be a happy little fan, she'll have been successful in most of the world.

I agree with all of this post. I like both artists; I've seen them both in concert - I'd love them both to be #1.

 

Leona because it would be a rare British #1 and because I love the song

Mariah because she is my favourite artist ever and she'll add to her record number of chart-toppers

I'm still trying to figure out why TMB is being played so hugely on urban radio, I can't see anything remotely urban about the track.
