It contains some excellent upbeat tunes like the title track, Mansized Wreath, & Horse To Water as well as the slow standards like Until The Day Is Done, Sing For The Submarine & Hollow Man. It actually performs very mellifluously for an R.E.M. album that unlike the previous disappointment Around The Sun.

The best song on here is easily Sing For The Submarine. It's the only song on the album that would fit in perfectly with the tracks on the incredible Monster album (My personal favorite) & the New Adventures In Hi-Fi album.

And Horse To Water & I'm Gonna DJ are WELL fun. :P They are the main core as to why this album is fun & exciting to play moreso than their recent albums. Although I am still fond of Reveal.  (Played that loads in 2001!)

I recommend that if you don't like the lead single, then this album is clearly not for you. It's a solid 8/10 in my opinion. B)

It is not a bad album.

It is a very concise album, and none of the tracks outstay their welcome thanks to a crisp Jacknife Lee production.

Fav tracks for me the Document/Green era sounding Man-Sized Wreath, the opening rocker Living Well Is The Best Revenge, the epic near ballad Until The Day Is Done & the funny closer I'm Gonna DJ.

The disaster that was Around The Sun can now be forgotten.

7/10
