Kerrang had a big poll on their website where you could vote for the best band all all time, i don't have the full 100 but here is the top 10. No one really deserves to be in it except Queen and the Top 5 is just a joke, haven't Elliot Minor had like 2 songs?? I'm guessing all the 13 year old 'emos' voted about 100 times each for some of these bands.

10. Bowling For Soup

9. Queen

8. Avenged Sevenfold

7. Paramore

6 Evenscene

5. Elliot Minor

4 Nine Inch Nails

3 HIM

2 30 Seconds To Mars

1. My Chemical ROmance

LOL. Not ONE of them bands in there deserve to be Top 10. (Well Queen do, because I find them amazing), but..

EDIT: Actually, I was watching this on TV yesterday, and I was really p/ssed to see Enter Shakiri a few places above AC/DC. :/

None of it made sense, Red Hot chilis where only top 40 when they are better song writers than most of these bands. I just want to know where Sum 41 finished.
LOL what an awful list. How in gods name are Elliot Minor who just sound like a 'emo' Mcfly to me be No 5 ahead of bands like Queen and RHCP. Pretty bad tbh. :heehee:
I do like MCR, but being voted as 'The Best Band Of All Time' is pretty shocking. :heehee:

I've been looking around but haven't found it yet, they never reeased the list on the website or there would be no incentive to watch their c**p countdowns.

hahahahaha stupid emo kids

NIN and Queen are the only worthy bands

saying that, i havent seen any NIN on Kerrang since 'The Hand That Feeds'

Bunch of c**p, haha. Queen yes, but the rest no. (NIN would be top 100 but not top 10).

I'm sorry, but Queen "deserve" to be in the Top 10????    Fukk that!!! You want to talk about 'over-rated, pompous sh!te', well the very definition of that is "Bohemian ©Rhapsody" by Queen as far as I'm concerned..... Toe-Curling fukkin' AWFULNESS!!!!! I'd place Queen round about 70 or 80 tbh..... And purely on the strength of Freddie Mercury....

If this is a list of All-Timers, well NIN (as much as I may love them...) are waaay too highly rated also IMHO (I'd probably put them about 20 personally...).

An ALL-TIME Top 10 Hard Rock/Metal list should look something like this folks.....

1. Led Zeppelin

2. Black Sabbath

3. Jimi Hendrix Experience

4. The Velvet Underground/Lou Reed

5. Pink Floyd

6. David Bowie

7. The Clash

8. Thin Lizzy

9. The Doors

10. Deep Purple

------------------------------------------------

Bubbling Under (in no particular order)...

Metallica

Iron Maiden

Tool

Nine Inch Nails

Slayer

Sonic Youth

Pixies

Smashing Pumpkins

Opeth

Ministry

Anyone gonna argue...?

See THAT is what a list SHOULD look like for Hard Rock/Metal, not f***ing My Chemical Romance. I personally wouldn't put Black Sabbath that high though, as they turned pretty awful when Ozzy was kicked out..

Still doesn't stop them from being a totally seminal band though Josh... Sabbath's material from '70 to '79 is pretty much the blueprint from which all of Metal and its sub-genres are carved from, Ronnie James Dio being sh!t will never ever change that fact... Tommy Iommi's riffage is the stuff of legend... Sabbath were/are probably the most important band for anyone who wants to form a Metal band (you can almost certainly hear their influence very clearly in the likes of Mastodon, Opeth, Pantera or Lamb of God; even Iron Maiden and Metallica...), I honestly cant think of a single Hard Rock or Metal act who doesn't pay Sab (and indeed Zep..) respect....

Well obvs I'm pleased MCR won cos well they are the best imo. :kink:

But no Green Day, Nirvana, Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters, Funeral For A Friend,Smashing Pumpkins, RHCP, Guns N Roses, Jimmy Eat World,Placebo? All favourites of mine and all deserve a place in the top 10 overe the dross that's there.

I think I'm justified in "acting all 'ard" when a bunch of clueless emo/Kerrang kids start spouting blatant bollocks about what the best all-time Metal/Rock bands were..... Evanescence? My Chemical Romance? HIM? (sorry Clare) Oh, come on...... I can remember in the days when Kerrang!! was a proper Metal mag, if they'd done a poll like this, the likes of Zep, Sab, Hendrix and Purple would've featured easily in the Top 10, as well as Maiden, Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth and others. Having My Chemical Romance at No 1 is a bit like 80s Kerrang!! readers putting a band like Bon Jovi or Europe in the top slot.... Those who claim to be into Metal these days just seem utterly clueless....

What makes me laugh is Emo Girls who think Mcfly are a rock band because they play their own instruments, trust me, I've heard some funny things I have.
