March 27, 200817 yr this is a great achievement for leona lewis, she hit #1 and i don't care if it's just one week, it's good eniugh for her tohave her debut single to hit #1. she is force to be reckoned with in the US.
March 27, 200817 yr she is force to be reckoned with in the US. Wait for Spirit to be released before you say things like that. ;)
March 27, 200817 yr Im so happpppy =DDDD imagine the awards she is going to win! and the album sales!
March 27, 200817 yr Great for her, but I don't think that she's going to have that much success beyond Bleeding Love. I'll probably bite my words though.
March 27, 200817 yr Congrats to Leona - she thoroughly deserves it. Great that she's knocked the rubbish Usher off the top. About time there was a decent #1 in the US instead of all that urban rubbish. Leona's also climbed from #11 to #1 on the Canadian Billboard chart this week. Edited March 27, 200817 yr by Euro Music
March 27, 200817 yr let Mariah have her #1, I want her to break the record The Beatles have in her career. Only the Beatles did the record in 6 years - Mariah has taken nearly 20 years
March 27, 200817 yr Only the Beatles did the record in 6 years - Mariah has taken nearly 20 years It doesn't matter really, a record is a record. The Beatles will be remembered for achieving their #1's in that short amount of time, but if Mariah beats their record it's all fair, taking longer to set a record than the previous holder doesn't mean it's less special.
March 27, 200817 yr Great for her, but I don't think that she's going to have that much success beyond Bleeding Love. I'll probably bite my words though. Im sure you will have to bite your words. Many people are having to now! leonas got two more definite smashes on her US release of spirit- 'forgive me' produced by akon and 'take a bow' produced by ryan tedder (who did bleeding love). And some other potential hits i.e misses glass, angel.
March 27, 200817 yr Great for her, but I don't think that she's going to have that much success beyond Bleeding Love. I'll probably bite my words though. I doubt she'll have another single as popular but I think she could sell a ton of albums. She's being promoted not as the singer of Bleeding Love but as Simon's favorite singer, Clive Davis' newest adopted superstar, a global phenomenon, etc. I think this could translate into a lot of albums sales, maybe even a #1 debut.
March 27, 200817 yr Bleeding hell! (see what I did there :P ) With that chart maybe she does deserve to be #1 over there  I suppose someone like her was bound to be successful over there considering American's only seem to embrace either there own acts or people who sound american! Nevertheless as much as I'm not a big fan of hers I'm pleased to see a british act at #1 in America so well done Leona :D
March 27, 200817 yr Well Done Leona Lewis. I might go digging out a list of British Acts who've had US#1 Billboard Hit singles.........
March 27, 200817 yr Well done Leona! Certainly a great vocal talent. Propilot87 where did PFOS peak for Natasha?
March 28, 200817 yr great news for Leona but it's a shame she decided to release it at the wrong time just when Mariah and Madonna are releasing their singles....
