At the time it was at the hight of Madonna Mania she was being called the Material Girl (still does today) by critics and other stuff and in 1998 she said she had no love left for Like A Virgin & Material Girl and she wouldnt perform them again.

Oh yes! Didn't people question her for continuing to preform them then? I think I remember that now :P

Material Girl she last performed in 1990 then for the first time "sang" it again in 2004's Re-Invention Tour asking the crowd to help her out "remembering" the words even tho she was word perfect for them and she let the crowds do most of the work.
