Well Micheal Jackson last GH did'nt do as well as his others, but to be fair he has had about 15 or 20 of them.

Didn't Michael Jackson do a "retrospective" just after his court case which rather spectacularly stiffed....?

(please tell me it happened and it wasn't just my mind playing tricks.....)

Oh, and didn't Gary Glitter do something that went tits up as well round about the time of his *ahem* problems......?

Anastacia's flopped big time in comparison to her studio albums. -_-

I would say Mariah Careys, but since the re-release both #1's and The Greatest Hits have went Double Platinum in the UK. :P

Destiny's Child - #1's - Sort of a flop.

S Club 7 - Best - Not sure, but it wasn't on the chart long.

Alanis Morissette - The Collection

Brandy - The Best Of Brandy

All good albums. :(

The Essential Michael Jackson - including hits from the Jackson 5 etc as well. ;)

#2 in the UK but dropped rather quickly. -_-

Alanis' as Kelly pointed out.

Savage Garden and Bryan Adams' also released collectons recently which didn't set the world alight.

S Club 7 and Destiny's Child sprang to mind but they've already been mentioned.

Five and Atomic Kitten both failed to meet expectations with their compilations.

Alanis' as Kelly pointed out.

Savage Garden only had two albums - which both sold very well- so that was not a huge surprise. They hadn't had a hit in years too.

Yes, Alanis has flopped real badly... But then, Abba´s GH also debuted somewhere between # 50 and #70 on USA charts, but it spent years selling well on catalog that it´s near 7 million copies sold...

Destiny´s Child´s GH completely bombed, but I don´t think it ever deserved to do well.

Britney´s GH sold OK, but poor compared to her studio ones, mind you that in USA it still far from the first week sales of Oops album.

The Michael Jackson case wasn´t really a flop, as it wasn´t a proper main album, it didn´t have promotion, it was just one of this generical compilations that have songs that are already included in some 20 GH albums... I consider buying it someday, as it has some great songs on it.

On the other hand, Robbie´s GH has sold more then 6 million copies ww, considering it still sells (charted this week in Uk and many other european countries...), with the years catalog it might become his biggest selling album and pass the 10 million mark...

Atomic Kitten's didnt do that well no :(

Also anyone remember Misteeq's greatest hits? LMAO

I remember Britney's GH getting kept off the No 1 slot by PINK FLOYD's best of... no less......

Im not sure about Shakira's, I think ti sold about 2 million, count that as a flop if you wish

probably because a) misteeq had split up about 2 years previous or something like that. B) the record company that had licenced their recordings from the copyright holder was a tv advertisement compilation label that very foolishly thought it could take on the big boys by signing victoria beckham.

it came out on universal tv not telstar you see.

Alanis Morissette - The Collection

well most have commented on the fact that all her albums were c**p apart from the first adult album (not including the acoustic version that came out about 2 months or so prior to this collection)

Brandy - The Best Of Brandy

wasnt that a case of act already been sacked, lets try claw some cash back?

Bjork's GH album made the top 60 here.

It's a shame cause it has great songs on there.

No, it was kept off # 1 by Eminem in UK, but Eminem´s album was released on a Friday, so only 3 days counted, as Britney was released on Monday, as usual... In the USA it was # 4 and fell very quickly.

Im not sure about Shakira's, I think ti sold about 2 million, count that as a flop if you wish

But it only featured her spanish hits, from the era were she was unknown outside Latin America, so it wasn´t a flop properly.

Yeah it was a case of that with Brandy, but it was promoted with a lead single. ;)

I disagree about Alanis, some of her albums have been complete pop GOLD.
