The song was written by Britney, and she also co-directed the music video.

'Lucky', whether people like it or not, was designed to be another smash pop hit, and that is exactly what it acheived.

This single also produced Britney's first animated music video, which fans either loved or hated...but most fans can agree that song is amazing.

'Slave 4 U', was Britney's first single that ventured out of the lines of pop, the production was made by award winning producers, The Neptunes, and the sultry dancing and panting was provided by Britney. The label wanted to originally have 'Outrageous' as the lead single, but luckily Britney was able to convince them otherwise by sticking Madonna on the track. This was a smart move considering it was right after the VMA kiss which caused LOADS of controversy. This was also the first single released by Britney with her writing credits. There were two different version of the song, one for the US which was the Darkchild Remix. The other was released everywhere outside of the US and was the album version of the song. The darkchild remix is personally one of my fave videos from Britney because the choreography is astounding.
