I can't wait to see this, because it actually comes out the weekend before my senior prom :w00t: ! It might suck, but it looks like it might actually be really good, and plus Brittany Snow is amazing.

Well the remakes of House on Haunted Hill, Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Dawn of the Dead, The Fog, The Omen, The Hills Have Eyes, Halloween, The Amityville Horror, The Haunting, House of Wax, When a Stranger Calls, and Psycho were all so masterful, I'm sure this will be a fabulous update!!!!!!!! :) :)

With you there Brother (or Sister, dont want to be accused of being genderist.... :lol: ). Although, I think I would actually make a case for Alexandre Aja's remake of "Hills Have Eyes" actually.. It did actually have a pretty damned intense atmosphere about it.....

 

....Only to spoilt it rather by some of the ridiculously OTT prosthetics on the "monsters" in the film's later scenes. Shame that, cos for about the first hour or so, it was pretty on the nail, intense and moody.....

I saw two $h!tty movie last weekend this, and the Ruins. The Ruins was about like some killer pot plants and how a bunch of Mexicans wouldn't let a bunch of dumbasses leave a temple because the leaves were EVIL or some stupid $h!t like that.

Yet they fail to tell you the movie is about killer LEAVES in the previews.

To be honest, it actually looked a bit like they were more being attacked by the Black Oil from "The X-Files".....

I didn't see the original, the acting was really good...and I commend Brittany Snow on her skillz. But at the same time I hate movies that are so predictable...and they story line just had them being retarted. OMG THERE IZ LYK A KILLER IN DA HOTEL AND HE IZ TRYIN TO KILL ME...I THINK I'M GONNA BACK UP STAIRS AND GET MY SCARF...seriously? The scenes were just very choppy and at the end everybody was like...that's it? :mellow:

The acting's good...?? That'll make a change then.. Usually the acting in these sorts of films is pretty terrible... I watched the original ages ago... That was sh!te enough, I really just dont get how anyone could even consider this film even worthy of a remake...

 

...Mind you, I suppose they've gone through all the classic horror films, your TCMs, your Halloweens, your Hills Have Eyes, your Omens your Amityville Horrors, etc... And I guess now they're moviing onto the "Coca Cola League Division One" of Horror (sorry, British sport joke.... :lol: )....

 

I guess up next we'll be seeing remakes of "Hell Night", "The Burning" and "The Nostril Picker" (don't ask.....)

The original has a plot which Kevin Williamson shamelessly appropriates for "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (and Williamson at least DID something with stock Horror Cliches)... The original is no real classic, but the remake is just plain D-U-M-B, with no real flair to it.... The original also has Jamie Lee Curtis in it, and frankly there is no one in this film who can match her in terms of performance, JLC is the ultimate "Scream Queen".... Game, set and match for the original I believe.... :lol:
