Only most are rubbish? They're all rubbish - even Take That's DWYL (but at least their video was memorable - perhaps thought they'd rather forget it now!). :lol:

House Of Love still sounds so fresh today.

That list is shockingly bad, but boybands aren't really my thing. The majority all went on to release something far superior. The only group whose debut remained my fave is Blue 'All Rise'. I never liked any of their follow up singles more including their Eurovision hit 'I Can'.

 

My vote goes to Backstreet Boys 'We've Got It Going On'. One of the very few 90s boybands where I actually liked quite a lot of their hits.

Well, I am big Westlife fan so I will say Swear It Again caught my attention - I remember I was doing my homework when I heard it on the radio :D

 

However, Take That's Do What You Like has got to be one of the worst songs I have ever heard. And the video, my god!

How is Westlife leading this poll?!

Westlife for me too, still enjoy that song to this day, I also really liked the debut singles by Blue, 5ive & O-Town, most of the others I don't even recongnise, they've just not aged as well to me to get my vote.

Up to 2010 Westlife's Swear It Again had sold 365k, I don't have figures for Boyzone unfortunately though.

According to Wikpedia, Boyzone single sold over 400K in the UK.

 

But Love Me For A Reason was their second single, their debut was Working My Way Back To You.

Bit of a constricting list TBH...what about the more recent crop like JLS, The Wanted and (much as it pains me to say it) One Direction? I think out of that lot there though Blue had the strongest debut single, 'All Rise' is one of those songs you commonly think was a number 1 but wasn't. It was just all over the radio the summer it came out. Take That didn't properly get into their stride until 'Pray' for me. Likewise Backstreet Boys with 'Quit Playing Games' and *NSYNC with 'Bye Bye Bye'.
