I have to disappoint you because we have only 27 countries confirmed their participation with SONGS.

 

But i would be really happy to have a semifinal as this stupid Windows Movie Maker won't let me save the file <_< :arrr:

If you don't have anything against it we will have the final with only 20 places. 7 have to leave.

I thought and decided that the confirmation can long until the middle of 8th June.

I think you should close off the chance for any new entries now. Then give the two countries who haven't chosen a song until something like midday tomorrow to confirm or they will be left out. It's getting quite late, songs can take a while to grow on you so it's not exactly wise to leave it this long anyway.

 

If both countries confirm I don't know if it's worth having a semi-final to kick out one song.

I think having a final with 28 with confirmation lasting until 12pm GMT (not sure what that is in Russian time...2 or 3 hours ahead?) and all unconfirmed countries get scrapped; or in the event that there are too many have all of the new countries go head to head with enough going through to make 26-28 competitors in the final.

3 if it was down to 26 - it wouldn't be a particularly big thing anyway, maybe lasting a day or two in voting with the final the day after, no compulsions for voting except all taking part in the voting.

Well what if it were to be just the 16-17 pre-qualified countries made it through, with about 6 places left for the remaining 12 countries? Or 5 places for the remaining 10 countries or whatever it happens to be?

 

Forgive me, as I know I'm just a newbie, but it seems like a realistic suggestion?

 

It's just that I know if I was one of the solitary 2-3 new countries that got kicked out, I'd feel pretty c**p. There would be an uproar if that happened in Eurovision!

Hmm, that could work ^_^ This does all depend on whether there is a song confirmation from the two remaining countries though! :heehee:

I say if is less than 30...semi final is not necessary ^_^
