Personally, I think Emilia will do better but I slightly prefer Malena.

 

Also Pavel has expressed a desire for Malena to be in the contest whereas nobody has really expressed all that much for Emilia.

 

Then again, should I really be listening to the person who gave the only point to Martina two contests back? :P

Teardrops is fine but I'm not that fussed about Emilia other than You're My World...

btw I'm not amazed with Malena's album :( La Voix is the only fab song and there are maybe 1 or 2 good songs. I prefer Emilia

Nobody at all who is not into Swedish pop has commented on them, and I've been doubting more and more whether they'll qualify.

Yes but if you look at the date of the post, this was before Europe properly realised what a strong performance they would give.

Well, ducking out of a contest because one doesn't really feel like entering apparently isn't an option any more, so here I am for BJSC XIX :)

 

I haven't really been able to think that much about potential songs, especially not ones that could get good results, so I'm just going to send one of my favourite songs of all time.

 

It's a version of the song I just recently discovered, as performed by a previous winner of the contest.

 

I don't think it will do all that well, but the contest is about sharing music you love, so hopefully a few people will enjoy it.

As I said, the waiting list means that if I don't enter a song this time, I may be chucked out for a couple of contests, so I'm just going to enter a song I really love.

 

Even though it is by a previous winner, this is straying very close to Gigi D'Alessio territory for me once again. Nevertheless I hope you enjoy this song that was originally a hit for Kermit the Frog!!

So time for Herzebania to start choosing its 13th entry.

 

So far I'm torn between either departing completely from the usual Herzebanian fare, Millionaires with Take Your Shirt Off, which has potential I think for reception similar to "Headhunted" and "Left My Heart In Tokyo" and could finish in a position similar to either of them...it's very love/hate.

 

 

Or I could go with a more typical Herzebanian entry, Shiri Maimon with Now That You're Gone which I can see qualifying then stalling a la Tori Amos and Marie Serneholt...

 

 

Thoughts please?
