Serebro back Laura Stevenson for Herzebania

 

Elena Temenikova, the lead singer of Serebro was reported as saying, "Laura Stevenson's music has really inspired us over the past few days since we discovered her, and we're very much looking forward to meeting her on Wednesday and performing with her. We'd love it if Laura won the national final!".

 

They say love is blind...I'm sure Elena would be flattered at being portrayed as having that level of English :lol:

Well, Elena didn't EXACTLY say those words, we had to translate it a little. She called Laura 'funny bunny' a few more times than portrayed in the press conference :heehee:

Rehearsals have started in Herzebania!

 

Everything seems to be going smoothly, except small niggles with the sound, prompting complaints from Sparks Fly and Diggy and Cussons.

 

The international acts have started to arrive as well, and some spectators have sensed tension between TV executives from Bhangra and Simmondly over their acts and the running order. HbTV are making alterations to the seating so they won't be together on the night....

So tomorrow is the day that Herzebanian juries and public choose their debut BJSC entry in a star-studded national final with performances from last year's winners tATu, Serebro, Kelly Llorena, Fragma and more surprises.

 

Members of the press attended rehearsals and have now heard the four songs. So far they have not spoilt it for the Herzebanian public ahead of tomorrow night's final, although one gossip website has posted sample lyrics from each of the songs as a teaser.

 

SONG 1: Sparks Fly - Creatures

"It's never been all your fault, I locked myself in the vault of unpretentious meaning"

 

SONG 2: Laura Stevenson - Down

"I only wanted to make you smile, like the music does"

 

SONG 3: Diggy and Cussons - Boyfriend Material

"You ask me who is the smartest girl; I lie and say you"

 

SONG 4: Siobhan Pettit feat. Candy Devine - They Say It's Wonderful

"The thing that's known as romance is wonderful in every way, so they say"

 

Other stories emerging are that tATu complained to HbTV about the accomodation they have been put in and demanded they be moved, that executives of Simmondly and Bhangra are still at loggerheads over where their entries come in the show's running order, and rumours are also circulating that some jury members are planning to boycott the show due to the participation of Diggy and Cussons.

 

I should stress that none of these rumours have been confirmed, and thus far, tATu, and representatives of Bhangra and Simmondly have been unavailable for comment.

Olga Hates D&C

 

Ahead of tonight's live performance at the Herzebanian national final, outspoken member of Serebro Olga Seryabkina has claimed that "Diggy & Cussons really make me sick" and that it "really makes me angry to see such jokes submitted to such a prestigious contest". Serebro have been quoted in recent days as supporting Laura Stevenson; and recently Olga received criticism for publicly bashing Simmondly's entry and backing Bhangra to beat Simmondly. The Herzebanian final will be broadcast live on HbTV from 7pm tonight.

Secret Stage at Herzebanian final?

 

All the stars have touched down in Woodham for the first ever Herzebanian final and it has been claimed today that HbTV is very pleased with itself for keeping many of the "secret" acts under wraps. Rumours are abound that there is alot more to the national final than the attending press saw at yesterday’s rehearsal. One source has said that there are many more acts who have been rehearsing, and will be performing, on a second stage set up in the greenroom. tATu, Serebro, Kelly Llorena and Fragma have all been officially confirmed as appearing, with Sangrian news reporting that Nox will be performing.

 

A spokesperson for HbTV has simply stated, “All will be revealed tonight at 7pm.”

 

The controversial Diggy & Cussons remain favourites to get the Herzebanian ticket for the 6th Buzzjack Contest with odds of 3/1.

Herzebania National Final!

 

Good evening folks and welcome to the first ever national final in Herzebania! Tonight we will decide which of the 4 amazing acts we have to offer will win the presigious ticket to Eledan. But first of all, showing us all how it's done, from Russia (via Eledan) with love, it's TATU!!!!!

Tonight, four of Herzebania's best acts; Sparks Fly, Laura Stevenson, Diggy and Cussons, and Siobhan Pettit will be singing for their ticket to the Buzzjack Song Contest. A selection of our best musical experts are standing by to give their votes, but we also need your votes! The phone numbers will appear at the start of each act, but remember not to vote until the last act has been performed!

 

Now, before we get down to business, we have invited some special guests along to perform. So we can suss out the competition, and you at home can be introducted to some of the other songs, here are two of the songs you may have heard of thanks to the heavily publicised rivalry. Now while you're voting at home and the juries are hard at work, we've lined up some entertainment. It's Herzebania's first time at the Buzzjack Song Contest, but we're not the only debut country this time around. And so, we feel it's only right for us newcomers to help each other out. To that end, we have invited acts from two other new countries to perform for you now. First off, please welcome, all the way from Sangria, Nox with Ébredj fel!!!
