So there I was today. In Nottingham. And we'd gone for an Italian. And I went for a p***. And as I was p***ing, THIS WAS ON IN THE TOILETS! How shocked I was! :o Amazing song, should've qualified. I'm on about Gigi D'Alessio - Non Mollare Mai btw.

Amazing!! :D

I was also in the toilet in an Italian restaurant when I first heard the song!

 at the last two comments...I can't say I've ever heard it in the toilets of an Italian restaurant :P I'll keep a closer listen next time

I agree with David though, it should have qualified and would have got at least 8 points from me had I been in that semi final :(

It's quite depressing hearing comments like that :(

Especially since when I entered the song I knew (and everybody made sure I remembered) that it stood absolutely no chance of qualifying!

Then seeing how close it came and how realistically it could have got through

It's hotting up now!! :w00t:

3rd Place

BWO - Sunshine In The Rain

Only two songs left in the running! Tori or M2M!

Make sure to get down to the Pop forum and have your say

well I know Mira would have got a load more points had I been in semi-1, but it's luck of the draw

and I was surprised Gigi did so well actually, I'm very pleased with how well it did, as it proves that some of the voters on here are not as closed minded as I thought...I'll be interested to see what countries actually gave points to the song

I've just seen that Mira came in the same position in your semi as Gigi did in mine! Except it was a disappointment for FSR Rontvia.

I got votes from the following:

FNT Nickodonia

Juranabaijan

Bokia

Utopia

Faztickle

Ojnoj

Lorikeet

Tapatilandia

Dalisska

Bhangra

Kingdom of Shadow

I found it very interesting that the 11 countries I got votes from included all of the 9 countries I visited on the promo tour! The other two being Utopia and Ojnoj.

I did promise right at the start that I'd be shamelessly campaigning for votes, but I never imagined that it would work so well.

AND THE WINNER IS.....

Tori Amos to Promote Entry Around Buzzjack

Tori Amos, Herzebania's entry to the 11th Buzzjack Song Contest, will be following in the footsteps of previous singer Gigi D'Alessio by embarking on an intensive promotional tour around Buzzjack in the run-up to her participation in the Contest.

The singer-songwriter, who will officially confirm her participation tomorrow, said that while the dates and venues still had to be finalised, "we will definitely be performing in FSR Rontvia and Quotosibb, as a thank you for the huge part those countries played in getting me to the Contest."

More information to follow in the next few days.

Tori Kicks off Promo Tour in Quotosibb

After a farewell performance in Herzebania tonight, representative Tori Amos will embark on her mammoth promotional tour. It will start off over the weekend in neighbouring countries Quotosibb and Fervorosa, before travelling to visit new country Deandria, and long time allies of Herzebania, FSR Rontvia and Nickodonia before the draw for the semi-finals takes place.

Here is how the schedule is looking for the pre-draw part of the tour!

Quilvorian Leg

4th October - Quotosibb

5th October - Fervorosa

6th October - Deandria

7th October - Lorikeet

Vinorel Leg

8th October - Sangria

9th October - FSR Rontvia

10th October - FNT Nickodonia

11th-15th October - TBC

16th October - Ojnoj

17th October - Mdice

The remaining dates are still to be confirmed and are subject to the semi-final draws, but a source from HbTV has said that Tori Amos will perform along with last month's representative Gigi D'Alessio in a special concert in Ojnoj before flying to Mdice for the semi-final, to thank the people on Ojnoj for their unprecidented support in BJSC 10.

"After seeing the voting results, Gigi was gutted that he hadn't got the chance to perform in Ojnoj before the contest, so he has made a point to visit there, and has very kindly asked Tori Amos along with him to gather support for her entry."

Pixie arrives in Herzebania for another concert

FSR Rontvia's BJSCXI entrant Pixie has put on another successful concert in Herzebania today on already the twelfth date of her extensive promotional tour to support her song Boys And Girls. She arrived in Herzebania to a relatively small but enthusiastic crowd, one onlooker saying 'We just had to come and support Pixie, she looks like the sort of girl I could identify with, I'm 17 too so I know exactly how she feels, her voice is amazing live too!'. The 17 year old Brit was overwhelmed by the support of the crowd saying 'the Herzebanian crowd has welcomed me with open arms, and the least I could do was perform to the best of my ability to thank them. I'm thankful to every single person down there who has come to see me play, I really appreciate the support'. Pixie performed current single and BJSCXI entry Boys And Girls as well a crowd pleasing rendition of Carola's anthemic cover of Pride (In The Name Of Love) as part of her 'covers a past BJSC entry' series. Here is her promotional video for Boys And Girls.

Isabel performs in Herzebania

Isabel Guzman, Mdice's entry for BJCSXI, performed October 10th in Herzebania, marking the fourth concert on her Buzzjack tour. "It's great to get support from various countries," Isabel stated. "The concert was great. I'm excited to see how Herzebania's entry does as well; I'm a huge fan of Tori Amos!" Isabel's next stop is the Kingdom of Shadow, who hosted BJSCX.

More Dates For Tori's Tour

Tori Amos will be heading into the second phase of her tour this week in the lead up to the semi-finals. After a performance in Dalisska tomorrow night, expect the tour to head to Tinnmark, Juranabaijan, and other countries from semi-final one before arriving in Ojnoj on Thursday and Mdice on Friday :)

^ Without giving too much away Silent All These Years is one of my all time favourite songs.

Oct 10th : Herzebania

Canadian singer Suzie McNeil arrives in the country as part of her BJ World Tour to promote her entry for Nonsuch at the 11th BJSC. She performs her entry (a Canadian Top 5 hit single) and a cover of a classic Bonnie Raitt song.

Suzie McNeil - Lonely (Are You Coming Home)

Suzie McNeil - I Can't Make You Love Me

Silent All These Years is one of my favourite tracks of hers, shame you are know in the same semi final as mine, I would have gave points.
Metro Station Shake Herzebania

Metro Station kicked off their tour of the BuzzJack world in their first country outside Juranabaijan last night. Upon arriving in the Herzebanian capital of [insert capital name], they got swamped by a sea of teenage girls wishing for their autographs and more.

Their set included Shake It - the song to be performed by Metro Station in the semi-finals of the 11th BuzzJack Song Contest, Disco and previous Herzebanian entry, Hold The Line - performed by Jeanette in the 7th BuzzJack Song Contest. There was no official footage of the gig, but one onlooker - who was close to the stage - hav posted this video of Shake It onto BuzzTube.

Janelle storms Herzebania!

Continuing her whistle-stop promotional tour in an attempt to secure Kopecka's 100% qualification record for the 11th contest, Janelle tonight touched down in Herzebania to perform 'Many Moons' to an ecstatic audience live on 'Wetten...herz!', the most popular TV show within Herzebania, to a strong reception from pundits across the nation. Despite this performance, Janelle's odds have lengthened almost universally with a massive deal of competition within her semi-final. Janelle was quoted post-performance as responding unfavourably to the news of her odds lengthening from 9/1 to 22/1 in a day, saying that she would 'have to really work now to get into the final!'.

it's such a long song + it's a grower, I'm concerned that some of the people who just listen to each song once will miss it's appeal
