Serebro serebrate!

After a show-stopping performance of Opium and the victory of their preferred candidate Laura Stevenson, Serebro took some time out of their busy schedule to talk to IBK as a means of celebration after their busy week. "We've been working non-stop for the past 18 hours, and we can't wait to sample some of Bhang's world famous shopping centres!" Marina said, "and we're really glad that my visa issues have been cleared up: we were so looking forward to go to Simmondly, it was a real blow when the rejection came through but thankfully our appeal was accepted!". Answering in response to claims that there are tensions in the group, Elena claimed, "Lies lies lies! Don't believe everything you read, a lot of our supposed 'inside sources' are just groupies who make something out of nothing - I might snap at Olga sometimes, that doesn't mean I want her out of the group for Dima's sake! We're all fine with each other, we're like sisters really - we might have disagreements from time to time, but we'll always stick together.". When asked about their current thoughts, Olga said "We're elated that Laura beat Diggy & Cussons - I would've hit the roof if they'd won! We can't wait to see Mdice, Kopecka, Sangria and Simmondly - we have many fans there that we haven't seen for a while, and we can't wait to perform for them! We're just enjoying life at the moment - it may be hectic, but every little helps in this competition!".

Bhangran officials have spoken of their disgust at the lack of support from FSR Rontvia, but were quoted as saying, "the Rontvians are well known for supporting the underdog, so we'll take that with a pinch of salt. It's also reassuring to see that Llorenna mimed in Ashton, whilst Coco gave a stunning performance of 'Toca's Miracle'."

FSR Rontvia responds to Bhangran comments

A spokesman for FSR Rontvia's delegation has said the following in response to Bhangra's earlier comments 'don't get us wrong, the Rontvian public love Toca's Miracle, it sold over 2 million copies here, Coco is a legend in her own right but AATW are clearly the superior record label at this moment in time'. The spokesman went on to say 'If both acts were signed to Hard2Beat records, we are certain that the two songs would have sold up to 5 million copies each in Rontvia'. In response to the comment about Rontvian's supporting the underdog, the spokesman replied 'well, FSR Rontvia's votes have been perhaps a tad eccentric in the past but this shows the strength of a nation who is not afraid to vote for the music rather than a country'. The current top three favourites of readers of the Rontvian Times are as follows:

N-Trance - Set You Free 45,987 votes

Fragma - Toca's Miracle 45,986 votes

Serebro - Opium 4,512 votes

no other songs have currently received over 1000 votes

The head of Bhangra's delegation has apologised to the Rontvians over recent comments. "Poll results are showing that Fragma and Coco are still as popular as ever in Rontvia, so our comments were probably quite unecessary. It's just a shame we're one vote behind Llorenna!"

Sir Trevor McBhangald is to interview Coco live on tonight's News at Ten on Bhangran television.

Betting patterns in FSR Rontvia

Adele and Katharine McPhee have had a recent flurry of bets in Rontvia while people are coming in less and less for Fragma and N-Trance feeling that the bitter battle between the two countries has poisoned either's chance of victory at BJSC6. One punter said 'Katharine won before, the song's a bit rubbish compared to Dangerous but she obviously has a fanbase so that's where my money is going' while another punter said 'I won't be backing The Hoosiers that's for sure...what an appalling band...its Serebro all the way for me'. When asked for their views on Fragma/N-Trance, the spokesperson for Jonathan Hill, the leading Rontvian bookmaker said 'N-Trance and Fragma both have great songs but we are just not getting any punters backing them...we feel that the war of words between the countries is significantly harming their chances and detracting attention away from the songs'

Rontvia's own duo Untouched had their own views on the matter saying 'naturally we love all of the songs. Eledan are in a much stronger position now that they have changed their song and with Mdice and Kopecka also personal favourites of ours we feel that Simmondly and Bhangra might go home disappointed'. The readers of Rontvian Times clearly disagree with Fragma and N-Trance trouncing their competition in a pre-contest poll earlier today.

Lawsuit Against The Ashton Sun

Lily Allen's management have filed a lawsuit against the Ashton Sun over allegations it made yesterday.

the paper alleged

Lily Allen dismissed Herzebanian's first national final as a "joke". She also said "No wonder that miming wonder performed on The Mid-Week Show, it's a highly watched show in a Country that has a long running history in the contest."

She also said "It was important for Kelly to attempt to impress the Ashtonese public especially with Simmondly's record when it comes to points from Ashton"

My Sources tell me that Lily is still feeling bitter after her debut Single/Album failed to gain support in Herzebania and has since called it "The arse of Buzzjack"

and

Lily Allen laughed off Kelly's hurt at miming comments saying it was just a ruse so she could sing half decently in Eledan. The singer also told our reporter that the actual show will have won her many supporters who she'd better not slag off.

both comments have been discovered to be false allegations made by the paper to stir up rivalry. the Ashton Sun faces a large fine from the Ashton Media Watchdog.

Lily Allen did have this to say:

"I never said those things. Kelly and i go way back, she'd have been a t*** to listen to those rumours. Herzebania is a bit of a dive, lets be fair. There are far worse places out there so its fo' sho' not the Arse of Buzzjack or whatever it was that i supposedly said."

Sir Trevor McBhangald interviews Serebro

Ahead of their performance later within Bhangra, Serebro took time out from their rehearsals to be interviewed by one of Bhangran television's most senior newscasters, Sir Trevor McBhangald. The transcripts were as follows:

Sir Trevor McBhangald: So Serebro, to start off what are your first impressions of Bhangra?

Elena: We love it here! The weather's really amazing here compared with Kopecka - we don't normally start getting really summery days until June, but here it feels like August and May's only just started!

Marina: We love the shopping here - it's like Olga's dream come true, she's just gone mad with the management credit card! Bhangran clothes are so very fashionable.

Olga: And we love the bhangrias too!

Marina: Yes...Elena keeps telling off Olga, she hasn't had any vodka yet today because of all the bhangrias we've been having!

Elena: Well, we always have a tour policy of having a little reminder of home everyday...

Sir Trevor McBhangald: So what are your thoughts on tonight's performance?

Elena: We can't wait! We have thousands of fans in Bhangra - I forget whether or not What's Your Problem did it, but if I remember correctly all of our songs to date have gone top 10 in Bhangra, but we've never been able to perform here which has been a real shame.

Marina: Yeah, we've had loads of letters asking us to perform here, but we've never been able to find the time to come here because we're on the other side of the continent.

Olga: But hey, better now than never? We came here first because we hope that Bhangra kicks Simmondly to the ground - go Toca's Miracle!

Elena: Olga...

Sir Trevor McBhangald: So you support Fragma in the ongoing rivalry?

Elena: We have no official position on the matter, regardless of what your tabloids - or loose lipped band members - may tell you. Next question please.

Olga: You b**ch.

Elena: Next question!

Sir Trevor McBhangald: So are reports of tensions within Serebro at all justified?

Elena: We refuse to be questioned on this matter, that is all I have to say.

Sir Trevor McBhangald: But what about...

Elena: Your tabloids are unreliable rags which make up any lies to shift copies. We refuse to answer to any of these childish allegations, and this interview won't last much longer if we're given such ridiculous questions.

Sir Trevor McBhangald: So, erm, many questions have been asked about your involvement with Frahliso. Care to shed any light on these?

Marina: Well, we participated for Frahliso a couple of months back, as we're based in north-eastern Kopecka in the capital Zagorasta - Olga and I have family in Frahliso, and it only takes a couple of hours to get there by train. We've been trying to enter for Kopecka since the first contest, and it was such a blow for us when we were replaced by Jordin Sparks in the first contest, although in retrospect she was the right choice for the debut contest. We tried again and again, but we were overshadowed by Vanessa Williams, Stefy and Jordin Sparks. When it came to the fourth contest it was pretty much confirmed that Stefy would be sent for Kopecka - because they'd only just lost out to Vanessa in the second contest, and it was a huge shock when Jordin was selected again ahead of them for the third contest - so we thought there wasn't really much point in trying, and we didn't want to have to wait until the fifth contest until our first entry, so Olga suggested that we enter for Frahliso, and the rest is history! We were really pleased with top 5, and we hope to beat that result on the 11th.

Olga: Our dream has always been to participate for Kopecka - Frahliso were just there when there was a mutual need. We didn't know what to think when a war broke out over which country would get to send us to Eledan - I suppose we felt quite flattered that people cared enough about us to do that, but in the end we thought it was a bit pointless really. We're glad that there weren't that many actual deaths - a Kopecek official reassured us on it all though, he told us that it would've happened eventually and that we were just the trigger, so we needn't feel guilty about anything. We would always choose Kopecka over Frahliso though - Kopecka is our home away from Russia, and we have a massive fanbase there - all of our songs so far have gone top 3 and we won Best Newcomers Award there last year!

Sir Trevor McBhangald: So what do you think your chances are in Feethoo on the 11th?

Elena: Obviously we'll be going all out to win. We reckon that Bhangra, Simmondly and Rontvia will definitely be up there in the final voting, and we hope we have enough supporters to join them!

Sir Trevor McBhangald: Thank you for joining us Serebro!

The interview will be broadcast tonight along with the Coco interview and the "Opium" performance by Serebro at the PepsiBhang Stage on the News at Ten with Sir Trevor McBhangald.

3 hours ago Adele gave the press-conference in Feethoo about the upcoming BJSC6 in which she participates with the song "Hometown Glory".

Adele: Hello everyone.

J: Adele, how do you feel about being chosen from Eledan this month?

Adele: I was very shocked. I was sitting at home having the precious free time that i usually don't have these days promoting my debut album "19", then my manager called me and told i was going to participate in the BJSC6. It was my dream all these months to take part in such a wonderful contest.

J: Good evening Adele. The "EledaNews" readers obviously want to know if you have any personal favorites in this contest. Thank you.

Adele: Of course I do have but i don't want to tell their names in order not to start the word battle like it happened with Bhangra and Simmondly this month. I can only say that it is going to be the great show with much of a high quality music.

J: Hello Adele. It is known that you have been replaced by Rivandia in the 2nd contest to Dragonette in a last minute. No one knew what happened. Was it your chioce?

Adele: erm... yes i had been replaced by Rivandia in the 2nd BJSC. I just got the flu right before the contest and couldn't perform just as happened with Jem in the last contest. That is all. (smiling)

J: How many countries did want you to participate in this contest so far? As we all know it's only 2.

Adele: You answered this question yourself. Next question.

J: Good evening Adele. Who is going to support you in Feethoo next week?

Adele: aww.. My family of course, my friends. I even found out that i have my own fan-club in the internet that grew to half a million people all over the BJ world. It was really really nice to see.

J: Hello Adele. We know that there has been the mistake with counting the votes of the committee about what song you would be performing. Are you pleased with the new choice? The odds of Rontvian, and not only, bookmakers rose up. How do you feel about that? Do you feel you are able to bring the 2nd win for Eledan?

Adele: Yes it's true. The equipment for the voting that has been purchased in Japan had some defects in the program so it did show that the most voted-for song was Cold Shoulder though it was right in the opposite way. I noticed that the odds got much higher than before. To be honest Hometown Glory is my favorite track on the album and i was very happy to know i would be representing Eledan with that song. And i'm not so confident that i will bring the second victory to Eledan. tATu were so supposed to win with Gomenasai.

I wish all participants the best luck.

Adele's manager: Sorry but Adele can't answer your questions anymore today as she is having the performance in Quotosibb later today. Thank you.

A senior official at Bhangra's largest bookmakers, Ladbhangs, has been quoted as saying, "today sees the fall of N-Trance from their pedestal. They had currently been neck and neck with Bhangra, but following that disastrous miming session in Ashton last night, it's little surprise to see Llorenna falling behind. We expect to see Serebro's odds rocket up even further tonight, following their interview on News at Ten, and it is likely that they will overtake us for the first time. Bhangra and Kopecka are certainly the two countries to beat though at the moment, I reckon!"

BREAKING NEWS FROM BHANGRA

In a press conference at 1730 UK time, a Bhangran spokesperson announced that Fragma would be going on a mini tour comprising of five countries. "The countries we are going to visit have been chosen very carefully," an official spokesperson commented. "We aim to capitalise on our successful visit to Herzebania with these visits, and believe we can reach many new people. The tour was originally planned to begin near to a week ago, however one country seemed to go out of their way to deny us a visa. We managed it in the end though, and aim to finish up in that country!"

The full setlist will be announced at roughly 1805 UK time.

Fragma's "Toca Tour"

02 May - FSR Rontvia

03 May - Ashton

04 May - Kopecka

05 May - Rivandia

06 May - Simmondly

:cheer: FSR Rontvia welcomes Fragma with open arms...perhaps the performance will help Toca's Miracle to pass Set You Free on the next Rontvian Times vote count

"EledaNews":

Adele has successfully visited two countries out of planned five: Sangria and Herzebania.

She also will perform in Quotosibb today, tomorrow in Dalisska and on May 3rd in Dulpaen where she will present 4-5 songs.

Adele: "Due to the free space in my schedule I confirm that i will visit Bhangra, Rontvia, Kopecka and Ashton in the next days. I can't wait for it to happen"

Bhangra eagerly awaits Adele's visit. :D She should get a good climb in the odds and shiz if it' successful. :w00t:
Adele is amazing in live concerts so I suppose she will make Bhangra's odds rise :smoke:

Devastated Beverley Knight

Quotosibb's BuzzJack Song Contest representative Beverley Knight is said to be distraught today after learning that there may be a semi-final.

She had this to say "I'm really worried now that it's likely for a semi-final to take place this year. I haven't done a promo tour because I was advised to rest my voice for the contest - I only did the performance at the Herzebania National Final because I'm enthusiastic about this competition. My manager didn't even want me to perform there. Now there's a chance I wont even progress to the final as I haven't had the chance to get my song out there. I'll be gutted if I don't make it to the final, I'll feel like I'm letting the whole of Quotosibb down."

Beverley has so far kept her lips sealed on the other artists who have entered the contest but she opened up to us. "I think this contest is very much focused on Serebro, Fragma and N-Trance at the moment. I think they're all good songs, "Set You Free" is a classic. However I think the slanging matches going on will only hinder them. I'm more of an Adele or Laura Stevenson fan, both are so talented. I always liked to support the underdog though."

Beverley Knight's song is called "Black Butta" which is available on her latest album, "Music City Soul", she will be rehearsing in preparation for the likely event of a crucial semi-final over the next few days. In light of the potential semi-final "Black Butta" has been sent to various radio stations across the continent, hoping to gain some last minute support.

- - The Quotosibb Daily

Question: What's with the promotion tours people say they're doing? Is it something you have to do or is it just people saying thier act is going to sing in a country?
Yeah we're just saying our acts are singing in other "countries". You don't actually have to do anything for it, just provide a list of when and where they're gonna do their performances, then do a quick recap of how they got on. Not everyone does it though, and BJSC VI is the first time this sort of thing has ever been done. :o

Oh.....in that case......

The Corrs have released news on a promo tour while holidaying in Quotosibb. Andrea has said she was interested in performing for a few countries before the contest.

The Corrs Promo tour

2nd May - Quotosibb

3rd May - Bhangra

4th May - Simmondly

5th May - FSR Rontvia

6th May - Ashton
