No Promo Tour For Lily

Today Lily Allen's management and a representative of the ASC confirmed that Lily wouldn't be doing a promotional tour prior to her performance in Eledan due to a stomach illness and the the fact that the song she is performing in Eledan is an exclusive demo track form her upcoming second album

It is unclear if acts in the future will be doing promotional tours, the ASC representative said that it would be at the discretion of the act and their management.

SangriaNNewS

Alexandra Wiley, the cultural minister of Sangria about the chances of Nox:

"We are so sad about the bad odds for Nox. They are mostly amongst the last 3 or 5 in the international BJSC charts and at the bookmakers' lists as well. If there will be a semi-final we don't know whether they can slip into the final or not.
A Sangrian tabloid called Hot! published the last words of the minister which caused some dissatisfaction among the other participating countries:

By the way we hope there won't be block votes or something like this and newbies can perform well in the contest. In spite of these facts we won't change our decision just because of they aren't at the top of the lists. ..It's so silly an infantile.
:o :kink:

Due to the predictions the Sangrian press is rumouring about an upcoming national final. Officials confirmed that in the next month there will be a national final instead of a highly qualified jury. Supposedly 25 artists have already entered into the Sangrian songcontest called "Sangfest" (from around the world, e.g. from Hungary, Sweden, Romania, Belgium, Denmark, USA, Mexico, etc), so the people of Sangria can make their own choice.

Kopecek Minister of Culture welcomes all promotional tours

The Kopecek Minister of Culture Aurelié Chorelikov today welcomed all promotional tours to Kopecka's Zagoček Ërnüle, citing the recent Opium tour which has kickstarted the idea around the continent as evidence of its success and beneficial effects upon culture. With Bhangra and Eledan amongst others visiting Kopecka in the near future, it appears that Serebro have set a trend of sorts with regards to the promotion of songs, and Chorelikov was quoted as saying that this "was just evidence that Kopecka are leading the way with regards to musical culture on the continent". Serebro's promotional tour has also been recently rescheduled due to Elena's vocal problems and group exhaustion, with Serebro taking the bank holiday weekend off and performing twice in a day for the rest of the tour beginning on Tuesday. Rescheduled events are in red.

April 28: Bokia / Bokitown / Boki Arena

April 29: Quotosibb / Siobah / Siobal Hall

April 30: Herzebania / Herzebania / H.B.Y.K. / HERZEBANIAN NF (Broadcast live on HbTV)

May 1: Bhangra / Bhang / The PepsiBhang Stage

May 2: Sangria / Zurratown / Sangrena Performance Hall

BREAK

May 6: Mdice / Vartza / Vartza Arena

May 6: Kopečka / Zagorasta / Zagoček Ërnüle

May 7: FSR Rontvia / Constarvan / Freedom Stage

May 7: Ashton / Morpeth Cove / Ashton International Concert Centre, Hall 3

May 8: Rivandia / Morissalle / Y.A.G. Ariasto

May 8: Simmondly / Trixie-Firecracker / Venus Theatre

May 9: Eledan / Feethoo / National Eledanese Hall

So many tours! Of course one disadvantage of having a huge star like Tom Jones singing our song is that he prefers to sit by the pool and work on his tan than do promos then again the advantage is that he is so big he doesn't need promo tours.

I think the Shadowan public, who have not yet been visited by any of the competition, should prove to be quite unbiassed come the vote after all the state controlled television and radio channels have been banned from showing any Song Contest songs

No promo tour for Laura Stevenson

Laura Stevenson revealed today in an interview that she has no plans for an official promotional tour for Herzebania's entry "Down."

"I don't think there are any plans no," replied Stevenson. "I think HbTV are happy with the publicity the song got in last night's final, so they don't see a need to tour." Herzebania's first entry said she was "relieved" at the decision. "It does take the pressure off, and I feel that intensive touring is detrimental to music. Now I can really focus on getting the song to the best possible standard for the final."

This comes shortly it was reported that Ashton's representative Lily Allen, who made headlines in Herzebania this morning for calling the debut country "a dive," will not be touring either.

Despite the lack of an official tour, Laura Stevenson has insisted she is not against travelling prior to the Contest. "It was so great to see top class acts from so many countries coming to Herzebania to perform last night," she said, "and if any countries would like me to come and perform there I would be more than happy to return the favour!"

Serebro performance marred by onstage fighting

Sangrian fans were expecting a performance up to Serebro's normal standard today, but what they got instead was a visibly nervous performance whcih culminated in an onstage fight after Marina Lizorkina forgot her line halfway through their performance of Opium. Olga openly accused Marina of "holding us back...not caring", before Elena accused Olga of being a "loose lipped stuck up b**ch". Audience members were visibly confused as the music carried on playing but the band members argued over the music, before Olga slapped Elena and stormed offstage, claiming that she would "never perform again" and that she'd "had it with you talentless skanks". Elena appealed for calm amongst the audience, and promised a refund of tickets or a free concert later on in the month for the disappointed Sangrians who weren't expecting such a show. Record numbers of complaints were made to the Sangrian Culture Committee, who have said that they will "investigate claims that the performance was not suitable for children". After the show, Elena publicly apologised for the fight and said that Serebro "would come back to Sangria when our schedule permits it". This outburst comes just before Serebro's last-minute Bank Holiday break, which cited reasons of exhaustion; but many spectators believe that this fight only confirms rumours that it was more due to tensions within the band than anything else. Serebro refused to answer allegations regarding tensions within the band during their high-profile interview with Sir Trevor McBhangald in Bhangra yesterday, although many regarded a brief verbal exchange between Elena and Olga to confirm rumours of such tensions. There can be no doubt that these rumours are true after today's performance, and only time will tell whether this incident will affect their performances in the coming week.

Diggy and Katina??

The early favourites to represent Herzebania at BJSC seemed to take their defeat to Laura Stevenson on the chin. According to lead singer Robbie Nolan, "It's no big deal for us. We thought the winner was a bit boring but whatever. The people wanted it, so there you are. I hope she gets a decent result."

He also revealed that the evening wasn't a complete washout: "We had some fun with some Russian chicks after the show. They were cool." Tatu? Serebro? "I can't remember who they were - I wasn't that bothered. I do know that one of them spent the night in my hotel room. So it all worked out."

No sources have been able to tell us whether Nolan's Russian companion was Lena Katina from tATu, or a member of Serebro, but one thing that is pretty certain, is that he most likely didn't spend the night with Olga Seryabkina, the outspoken member of Serebro who branded Diggy and Cussons, "a joke" who "make me sick."

********************************************************************************************

In other news, the Buzzjack Song Contest has had a major impact on the chart in Herzebania, with local songs from Laura Stevenson and Diggy and Cussons making the top 5 on downloads alone, along with download hits from "Toca's Miracle" by Fragma and "Opium" by Serebro, who's hit "Song Number One" has also re-entered the chart at #17 after a stunning performance at Herzebania's national final.

Laura Stevenson's single, "Down" is released tomorrow on CD single in Herzebania, with plans also to release the single in Kopecka and Rontvia, after Stevenson reportedly made a good impression on the visiting Rontvian delegation and former winner Sara Bareilles.

ooh a HUGE climb for Untouched in Eledan :cheer:

yep ^_^ Last week's chart was formed only with a couple of BJSC songs which had been sold for about 2 days so it wasn't enough to climb up higher. I think next week's top 10 will be completely made with them.

Few days before the voting :o

Frahliso government connected with Eledanese committee today and told that they might enter the competition and they are in the search for the artist to represent their country :yahoo:

So the Eledanese BJ Committee told that if Frahliso confirmed their participation in the 6th contest the semifinal would take place in the end of the next week instead of the final which date is being unknown yet.
