15 (49) 260 Final (7.349 ROTY ave) Amy Winehouse - Rehab

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/71/Amy_Winehouse_-_Rehab.jpg

"Rehab" is a song by English singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse. The soul/jazz/R&B song was written by Winehouse and produced by Mark Ronson for her second studio album, Back to Black (2006). It was released as a single in the United Kingdom on 23 October 2006 (UK#7). The lyrics are autobiographical, describing a protagonist's drinking habits and refusal to enter rehabilitation clinics.

The song received widespread critical acclaim and enjoyed commercial success in Winehouse's native England and abroad. The tune won the 2007 Ivor Novello award for Best Contemporary Song. "Rehab" won three Grammy Awards in 2008, including the "Record of the Year" (It reached USA#9), "Song of the Year" and "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance".

Winehouse's subsequent public battle with substance abuse and the song's popularity contributed to its numerous appearances in the mainstream media. Several artists have covered the song, both in official releases and live.

#15 is a bit low, but it's an impressive climb from last year. I was hoping she'd be top 10.
'Rehab' is one of the worst tracks on Back To Black I think. I don't get the fuss over it, I think 'Tears Dry On Their Own', 'Some Unholy War' and 'He Can Only Hold Her' are miles better than it, and it doesn't come anywhere near any of the tracks on Frank.

14 (8) 260 Final (9.326 ROTY ave) Nelly Furtado - Maneater

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a1/Furtado_maneater_importcover.jpg

"Maneater" is a song written by Nelly Furtado,Timothy "Timbaland" Mosley, Jim Beanz and Nate "Danja" Hills for Furtado's third album, Loose. It was co-produced by Timbaland and Danja and includes influences of 1980s music by artists such as Eurythmics and Hall & Oates. Furtado stated that Hall & Oates' song of the same name was an influence during the writing and recording of this one.

Released as the album's first single in Europe in May 2006, "Maneater" became one of Nelly Furtado's most popular singles, topping the singles charts in Poland, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Israel, Portugal, Switzerland, South Africa and the UK. It served as the album's second single in Australia, where it reached the top five, and in North America where it made Canada#5 & USA#16.

13 (10) 262 Final Anastacia - Left Outside Alone

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/32/LeftOutsideAlone.jpg

"Left Outside Alone" is a soul rock song written by American pop singer Anastacia and producers Dallas Austin and Glen Ballard for her third studio album, Anastacia (2004). It was released as the album's lead single in on March 15, 2004 and reached number one in Australia, Austria, Argentina, Finland, Italy, Greece Spain, and Switzerland, while it reached the top ten of the majority of all other charts it appeared on. Sadly it failed to reach the Top 100 in her native USA.

'Tears Dry On Their Own' is better, not sure about the other two. I do prefer 'Love Is A Losing Game', 'Wake Up Alone' and 'You Know I'm No Good' to 'Rehab' though. I think I prefer the second album though.

I'm surprised 'Maneater' is so low, I think it's better than 'Say It Right'.

I'm backing Rihanna, but I think Kylie or Nelly will do it though.

Could we be in for a shock and see the Arctic Monkeys and Snow Patrol top 10? :o
