Posted May 3, 200817 yr ...I will be very excited. :w00t: I'm beginning to get that excitable Eurovision feeling now.
May 3, 200817 yr Maybe they are those little party onions? But whyyyy? To eat obviously, but whyyyy? Who actually has a party on Eurovision night? (Anyone who actually responds affirmatively to that question will be deemed the queeniest queen I have ever encountered, ever.)
May 3, 200817 yr Have you never heard of Eurovision parties?! :o Loads of people have them... Can't see the appeal myself, it's ok to have on in the background but I've never been overly bothered about it.
May 3, 200817 yr Author Loads of people have Eurovision parties Slick. Not that I've ever been/hosted one, or considered it tbh.
May 3, 200817 yr I've never done it before lol I'm just having 2 mates round on the night I think lol, was only joking before when I said about cheese & onions I just remember Sophie Ellis-Bextor saying she does it.
May 3, 200817 yr Really? :o I know a guy who has them every year but I thought it was just his weird fetish or something :heehee: Ah well. I'm quite surprised that this year's British choice seems to be keeping a low profile? I haven't heard the song/about him anywhere other than BJ!

I think he is seriously regretting taking part, judging from things he is rumoured to have said at the big Eurovision party in London last week.

May 3, 200817 yr Oh dear, what were his comments? When told by somebody that they'd put a fiver on him to win at 50/1, he said "the way things are going, I wouldn't put a fiver on it at 500/1."
May 4, 200817 yr  I wouldn't put anything on Andy either! I haven't seen the video yet and the single is out on download next week and on CD the week after...he'll be lucky to go top ten let alone top five like Scooch did... it should have been an internal selection and The Revelations should have been chosen, though I can't see that any of the six acts would have gone top five... Terry Wogan was on Paul O'Grady laughing at Sweden for stretching Melodifestivalen out over many weeks...well I'd much rather have 32 pop songs with the potential of at least five being great rather than six where you're lucky if one of them is any good...

Wogan's a right naive t*** sometimes. -_-
May 4, 200817 yr I agree, people in the UK take the mick out of it largely because he does... in what way would it be bad if we took more effort to choose a song representing us on a national stage!?!
May 4, 200817 yr Author Precisely. However, I do get the sense that just recently the majority of the UK has started seeing the Eurovision abit more seriously. The angry response when Scooch got selected over Cyndi really showed that. Gahhh that still makes me foam at the mouth!!! March 17th 2007 - the day the UK threw away the chance to go top ten AT LEAST. :arrr:
May 4, 200817 yr well yes we could have restored some national pride at least with Cyndi...this year's songs were rock bottom of the barrel, apart from one. we should have a deal with Sweden where we get to pick five of their runners up and internally select one British song  then we would have had: The Revelations - It's You Sanna Nielsen - Empty Room BWO - Lay Your Love On Me Rongedal - Just A Minute Sibel - That Is Where I'll Go Amy Diamond - Thank You much better :P
May 4, 200817 yr Author Haha yeah that'd be well good. :heehee: BWO would do pretty well in the Eurovision I reckon. :D
